Default Motty AFR question

Am considering fitting a Motty to the RS - seems a better all round solution than a shed load of dyno time to sort out the mapping.

I have read Errolls excellent fitting guide and swapped a few mails with Tamas - my RS is running the Benelli Sport Titanium can which is slip jointed immediately behind where the lamda sensor will be fitted - not good methinks due to likely air leaks giving unstable O2 readings.....

anybody got one fitted with this (or a similar) system, or got any views on the matter

the slip on seal should be fine unless there is damage - can you feel any blowing around the seal? If is ok then it should run really well on the 6034 map. I know mine does and a few others have the same map and no issues at all

Default 6034 Map ?

The Motty should remap the injection regardless...

Just curious ..are you running the 6034 map on a std Tre or an RS ??

Tre, but I know of RS that have it too, although worth checking in the tuneboy section on specifics.

There's a summary of ignition / air-fuel map tuning options here on Errol's site.

Motty AFR Tuner product details here.

Enjoy!!

cheers,
Dom

Question Motty AFR or PowerCommander V?

Keeping the engine running optimally is probably the best money you can spend on any bike, especially an exotic and temperamental italian like the Nelli...

So my next purchase for the Tornado will probably be the Motty AFR Tuner, or the new PowerCommander V + AutoTune, which does pretty much the same thing.

Prices are similar (~ £500) so I might well go for the PCV as it will be easier to get support and backup from Dynojet dealers. Anyone out there already got a PCV installed??

cheers,
Dom

Dave,
For my Motty, the lambda/Bosch O2 sensor is fitted where the exup valve used to be (on the TNT), works beautifully!
cable follows neatly around the clutch case!
do you still have the exup operational on the Tornado?
Cheers.
