Hi Hans - and Welcome...

The Clocks on the Tornado are notoriously unreliable, especially early ones (Rev A). Later 'Rev D' clocks are more reliable but not perfect.
The original battery is also rubbish (replace with any of these), and the warnings are often caused by insufficient voltage being supplied to the dash.

So PROBABLY there is nothing to worry about. My 2003 Tornado often flashes "BATT" / "OIL" and "H20" and sometimes flashes the red light on the Rev Counter .

There are various improvements you can make (such as doubling up the battery cables or Errol's Dash UPS system if you want to actually solve the problem!!), but basically I wouldn't worry about it. Check your oil and water regularly, keep your battery topped up on an Optimate (or similar) and you can pretty much ignore crazy warning lights!!

What bike have you got and how long have you had it??

cheers,
Dom

Welcome to the forum Hans.

About the display, My CR does exactly the same, and I even keep her on a charger all the time. I guess it's just "one of those things" (as per "exotic" italian electrics...) As long as you keep an eye on the oil-levels and keep the battery charged, I wouldn't pay too much attention to it, just enjoy!

Oh, and Lee:
