Anyone parting out a Tre K or Amazonas?

This may sound weird for you guys.

But i have a experiment going on where i will build a more off road oriented Amazonas piece by piece.
This is both a experiment to see if the missus will notice that i actually have bought yet another bike, and i'm curious to see how far i can come with parts from E-Bay and Forums.
I am aware that this will cost me way more than just buying a whole bike and just import it to Norway (No dealers in Norway anymore) but the build is a part of my hobby, and, ehh, the missus wont let me buy another bike as i have three bikes in the garage as we speak, these are rebuilt quite a bit and i don't want to get rid off them.

What i'm looking for is crashed bikes/ engine failure etc that i can get relatively cheap.
I have really started at the bottom and bought a set of spoked wheels from a Amazonas, these will be rebuilt to a proper 21/18 size as soon as i'm home from work (I'm a sailor, so i have a lot of free time when i'm home.)

So, if anyone have one/knows of/heard of, please let me know.

Regards from Norway, the place where winter was invented....

There is a very bent one in Australia. Pity about the shipping cost!

The worst thing about the TRE K off the bitumen is that small front wheel. It is nasty on soft dirt, as I found when the road to my place was graded last week.

    Hei Frode

Look at that - seems you live 1 km from where I was born , Reppe Nordre ( heste-senteret )

Anyway - as these are rare bikes in our parts I would firstly contact Alex at Maniac Motors - The Final Performance for ALL Bikes as they are the biggest and best dealer for Benelli.

They have a " fundgrube " with parts and have build and rebuildt quite a few Benellis and they are very customer friendly as well.

Give him a shout and please contact me if I could help - living in Bergheim/Moholt and are a proud owner of a 1130 TnT.

Have a nice Easter - starting of to Portugal in half an our myself

    Regards

    Per Kolbjørn Almaas

Redbaron, that's exactly the kind of bikes i'm searching.
Will look into it as shipping cost might be aceptable.
The question is if the seller will bother with the hassel?
As for the wheels, they are to be rebuilt in a week or two.

Kolbjørn, now were talking small world....
    I'm living on Vikåsen.
That's really good to know, i've had my share off Italian bikes, and currently two off my bikes are Cagiva Elefants, but i don't know much about the 1130 engine (yet)
You would understand the frase from a Norwegian "shipping cost doesn't matter" :-)

If shipping from Australia is viable - TRE K with less damage

Here is another bike written-off in Australia offered on eBay: BENELLI TNT TREK-K 1130 06/2008 MODEL 55628 STAT PROJECT MAKE AN OFFER | eBay

    Thank's mate.
I've sent the seller a couple of questions about crating of the bike before i place any bid.

Still, have to figure out shipping cost from Melbourne..?
Have to consider total price/shipping vs a bike with papers......
Curious about Air freight vs Shipping as well, anyone ever shipped via air?

    Well then.

I bought the Australian bike, thanks Redbaron for the tip.
The bike is written off, as in "Can't be registered"

That suits me fine as i allready bought a frame from Italy with papers, and this is a perfect opportunity to get to know the bike.
I don't even know if the engine is operational, but again, my mantra is "If it doesn't work, just fix it".

I have rebuilt a couple of bikes in my time, and built a KTM SE killer with a Cagiva Elefant, so i'm used to rare bikes and making my own parts.

So my version will have 21/18 wheels/ proper pegs and bash plate, and offcourse then some.
Now i just have to wait two months for the bike to arrive as i was to cheap to ship by air.

I got the bike quite cheap, and i really don't know if she even got a running engine..?
But i wonder what kind of damage i can expect out of this?
