Benelli Australia Importers Stoney Creek Powersports have acquired the services
of Former GP rider Mark Willis to spearhead their assault on the remaining rounds
of the 2007 Australian NakedBike Championship aboard the exotic Benelli TNT 1130
Sport.
"
We are extremely excited to have the services and experience of Mark aboard the
Benelli 1130 TNT" Stoney Creek Powersports Director Paul Nobbs said. "With
Mark's previous experience on everything from Superbikes to 500cc Grand Prix
machines, we are sure this will prove to be a positive step forward for the team.
We have also formed an allegiance with Mona Vale based Performance workshop Motorcycle
Weaponry. They are now authorized Benelli service agents, and will be an integral
part of preparing the Benelli TNT 1130 Sport motorcycles for the remaining rounds
of the Championship."
Willis competed in the Australian Nakedbike Championship aboard a BMW for the
remaining 4 rounds in 2006 and is thrilled about the new endeavor. "This
is an extremely exciting time for Benelli. They have some fantastic models in
their line up and the TNT Sport is one very sexy motorcycle! It will be great
to be racing in the ASC again after an enjoyable time in 06."
Mark also commented that he was looking forward to returning to Mallala this
weekend, "It has been 9 years since I last turned a wheel at Mallala but
I have some fun memories of the track. I am really looking forward to helping
develop the Benelli TNT in the remaining rounds."
"
I have to thank Stoney Creek Powersports for providing me with this opportunity,
and also my personal sponsors, AGV Helmets and John Chiodo, Motorex and A1 Accessory
Imports for helping to make this happen and their continued support."
Round 4 of the Australian Superbike Championship takes place this weekend at
Mallala, just north of Adelaide.
