Fred is correct the Nissan is a technical marvel. And the Vauxhall is good, but a total animal. But i can think of worse things to have to choose between

I'd go with the Vauxhall. My mate has one (not the bathurst edition) and that is one helluva machine

    differnt cars

ones a sport car, the otheris really a Holden 6.2L V8 aussie muscle car. more family sedan on steriods. essentially the Holden is the floorplan, suspension, and engine of the new chevy Camaro in Sedan guise. (camaro was developed in australia) unfortunately after doing all the hard work GM in the US have just canned the idea of a RHDversion of the camaro for australia. wankers :-(

You mean its just a Holden. You guys cant make cars like that. GTR is a great car, but its still a Nissan. Nothing like a V8. And that one is ripper, awesome motor. Torque is the key.

Nothing wrong with vauxhalls. I've certainly driven round much faster cars on track in our "crappy" astra VXR. Badge snobbery, you've been watching too much top gear and clarkson fredez... Sorry but badge snobbery really gets on my titties. That Astra VXR, CDTi and 888, Corsa VXR, VX220, plus numerous enhanced editions are terrible cars

GTR will be faster, but its not a cheap car!!! Go review the GTR forums to see about the small issues (like running into a towbar at 5mph) that can cause £11k worth or repairs!!!! Its a computer marvel, and very cheap for what you get. NOT cheap to run and maintain, and quite a common car.

Bathurst, pull like a train with 600bhp odd. GTR would have it off the line, and top speed, but the Bathurst will kill it in gear acceleration. 4 doors, very limited, IMO FAR FAR FAR cooler than the nissan. The VXR8 will be owned by enthusiats, and the GTR by people who think they should drive porsches with their buddies, but can't afford one yet.

Depreciation, hmmmmm, well the GTR will drop, but it'll hold its money well becuase of the toys. The VX will depreciate more, but it cost 2/3 the price to start with. Overal in years to come, the Bathurst will go like a Lotus Carlton, and rise inn value, where-as the nissan will always drop as its a common car.

The GTR will keep up off the lights, but the bathurst would give the tornado seriously problems when moving.

I had a dabble with one of theose V8 Supercharge Jeep type things, found out it had 500bhp. It lost, but not by much!!!! Scared the hell outta me!
