Noob w/a Barracuda. Looking for parts...

I recently purchased a Barracuda 250 with the sport kit. I am looking for a rocker assembly and cover. The one from a Sprite 175 and 200 will work, or so I am told. I have been looking high and low, but to no avail. Does anyone know if there are any other rocker assemblies that have been used for replacements, since the part seems to be either hoarded or lost? I am not trying to complete a 100 Points resto, but I would like to get this thing running. I have searched the usual (eBay, Cosmotor, etc.) Maybe someone knows of a parts source that could help me? Any boneyards that have these lying around?

    The parts numbers I came across are : 2420/2, 3198, 3202, 3317, 3205, 3206, 3199, 3276, 3275, 3366, 3367, and 3198.

    Does this look correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me anytime.

    Regards,

    Mikle

    Hi Mikle,

Welcome to the forum. You could try www.benelliparts.de. I like Detlef's website as you can usually see if he has stuff in stock.

    Regards,
    Lee.

Thanks for the info and the quick response! I do have another question though. I went to his site. Do they have a page in English? I tried Google translate. Although I can see if the correct part was added to the basket, I can't tell if it is actually in stock or not. I found exactly what I am looking for though. I just hope he has them on the shelf!

From the parts diagram, click the number of the part you are looking for. It will tell you how much it is, if the part is in stock. Shout if that's unclear. Hope you have been saving up!

It may also be worth considering joining http://www.benelliclubgb.net/. I believe they have a few 250 parts in stock but not sure which model.

    Cheers,
    Lee.

Haven't been saving up, but if I have to sell one of my old Hondas, I may do so! They do have a couple of the parts I need, but no rocker assembly. Guess I will pick up the cover asap. Thanks for your help!

    Barracuda Question

    Hi Mikle:
Do you know if the early valve cover and the Barracuda interchange?
    Cheers,
    Anderson

    Fitment

From what I have been told, all the egg rocker assemblies/covers for the Sprites and Barracudas are interchangeable, but I have been getting conflicting information. Someone said the 125s were different, someone else said they weren't. I have heard that the valves are different sizes, and someone else said they weren't. The parts manuals state the 200 and 250 are the same.

    Valve Covers

The Motobi may be a real challenge in comparison to my 250 Ducati. Lots of parts for them.
    Cheers,
    Wally
