    250 2C Electronic ignition

    Hi
Any bright sparks out there know of a electronic ignition system that I can drop into my 2C.
I'm not trying to make the thing quicker just trying to give it a hand to drag my fat arse around.

Excellent one less thing to worry about, I will make that my first check when I dig the bugger out of my lock up.
    Thanks for that.

You could try one of these powerdynamo, I've also looked at HPI ignitions they do a race system. I've not noticed a road system but I'm sure they do something.
Have to admit I think that will be the biggest job on my 2C I want to ditch all the original switch gear for something slightly stronger as well. All this is not helped by the fact I hate electrics!

I bought one for mine as its going to 12v anyway. Pretty sure it was the power dynamo as posted earlier but will have to check when I get home from hols. Comes with reg/rec, coil, etc for complete replacement.

Hi Smokie If you are getting rid of your old handlebar switch system I would be interested in buying it from you
I have an incomplete 250 2C and need it to complete the bike.

Highflyer, my intention is to do an update rather than a restoration any parts I take off I will offer on here before anywhere else. There are too many bits on mine beyond restoring (well certainly by me) and I'm not one for searching the internet just to find original parts I'd rather it was reliable and rideable.

Wow looks like I'm not the only one playing with a 2C, my plan is to strip it to the bone and make it as light as possible and run it on day light only so a 12V system will be fine.
I am going to take it next year to the Manx (not to race just to be part of the great unwashed that watches) as I would like to experience the Island on a 2 stroke.
Thank you Smokey for the hints on the sites I will look into it.

    Powerdynomo

I went with the powerdynomo option, wow what a difference the motor sounds really sweet, all I need to do now is trim the bike out to look like my modern tornado for next years Manx GP.
Cant get the old style Dellorto carbs so I have renovated the original ones and they are okay but would be no good for racing, I am only building the bike so it looks at its fastest when parked up so should be okay.
