If it comes with original seat/tank and the exhausts are good I reckon £4K
Tomorrow morning I am going to look at a 1975 750 Sei, which is part of a bereavement sale. I have seen one photo, showing a non-standard; maybe fibreglass; tank, and '70's type cafe racer dualseat fitted. It also appears to be fitted with clip-ons. Apparently there is another tank and seat there, which I guess to be the originals.
So, question is what to look out for? Oh, and what's it worth??
Cheers in advance....

my mate just sold his 2.5k running but missing a few original parts and a little untidy, really depends on history, originality and condition, pay what you think its worth to you and dont worry if you pay a little over the odds or be happy if you get it for a steal. Its only worth what you want to pay
good luck on the purchase
Ah yes, I forgot to mention the exhaust! It is fitted with what looks like a horrible aftermarket 6-1; or possibly 6-2, can't see from the picture. Apparently the standard 6-6 is hanging up from the rafters of the shed, but it may be full of holes....
Are new ones actually available, or do they have to be custom made? Any idea of cost?
What is availability of parts like? I am thinking of tinware, upper fork covers, clocks etc..... or maybe std footpegs, if rearsets have been fitted?
Cheers
Ian

new oem parts are worth their weight in gold , would prob be cheaper to repair and re chrome originals than source a genuine exhaust especially, top dollar for genuine bikes with genuine parts and history
sounds like she may be a cracker, get all the genuine spares, parts from that shed as well !!!!!!
My estimate was on the basis it would not be concours , had non original parts and was in need of restoration to immaculate .
Seen 750 Sei's go for £6-£8 k .
Good luck Ian .
I sold a 750 Sei last year for $18.500AUD. It was completely original with only a 30-40Kms from memory. I hope that gives you an idea where these bikes are going in value if they are in good nick and original.

Thanks fellas. My feeling is that, while mint ones can fetch good money these days, restoration projects may cost more to restore than they are worth, even assuming the parts are available, unless you buy it right.
I'll let you know what it is like.....
btw, there is a Ducati 900SS there too.....![]()
Most original parts are still available and for those that are not, often pattern parts can be obtained. Even the 6 into 6 exhausts can still be picked up for a price.even assuming the parts are available,
