I got the question wrong !!

Hi - I've just joined the forum and I got the question wrong that asked how many cylinders does a Tornado have - mine has two and I'd be very interested to hear from anyone else that has a "real" Tornado - mine is an "S" version from 1976 and is about to be restored.

Nice, I'd love to add one of those to my garage, The twins had a real look to them, and despite being a cylinder short of a super bike. Still very desirable.
    A nice pair of nellies

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Einstein.

    A bit like a Z25 then.

Apparently there were only twenty five brought into the country - most of them have been written off or scrapped and there are only a few left in running condition - I have a complete bike in boxes that had covered about 25 k miles before a top end strip - it used to belong to my brother and I've had it in boxes for over twenty years

Ha ha - yes - I'm a driver not a mechanic - I was going to ask the very helpful people at Moto Corsa to do it for me )

Im not sure yet - this one was bright lime green with a horizontal inch thick red stripe halfway up the tank and a black top to it - ive seen silver red and black too - I'm lucky enough to have an original workshop manual and loads of brand new spares that my brother ordered to rebuild it

I found this pic online and although its identical to Ians (my brother) I don't know if it was his bike - he had mud flaps, a tall screen and an alloy pannier frame with two huge white fibreglass very square panniers and a chromed rack.

Thanks Tom - some of the paint schemes were a bit "interesting" to say the least and although this sounds a bit unlikely it did actually work and looked okay - I thought it might look better in a solid colour but its a bit of a wrench going away from the original - Ian wanted to do it white and dark blue with a gold pinstripe and let a mate of his spray it but the guy made a right hash of it so its got to be taken right back anyway
