    Hi ,

Spoke to them, they dont have the jigs to do this.
Spoke to others, I would need to source parts, not sure where from, also the parts catalogue show the big end pin as an integral part of the inner crank flywheel, is this the case?

    Hi Chris,

My mates and I have rebuilt five 2Cs and had the cranks rebuilt by an engineer out here in Australia each time. I know that doesn't help you but we got onto our guy through various contacts because he rebuilds racing two-stroke carts - very similar engines. The 2C crank is pretty good and we only struck one with excessive wear (maybe from that early batch with bad main bearings). With the rest he just split the cranks, replaced all the bearings and balanced them up.

Not even an expensive exercise. I'm sure there would be lots of places in the UK that could do it. Initially the guy at my local mower shop said he'd give it a go but there's a big difference between a roto-tiller and a fine Italian stallion like the 2C. I think!

    Cheers,

    Tony

You might try Chris Applebee Enginering down in Essex.

    [email protected]

If you make the trip across, get in touch, you will be most likely be passing not to far from me, kettle's usually on and only too pleased to talk 2c's.

    Crank

    Hi
Just to let you know Applebee rebuilt my HD XR 750 flywheel assembly that they had to weld tight, they did a blinding job and it is still racing hard in the short track series.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Crank rebuild

Hi. Did you get your crank rebuilt. If so how long did it take to get back? I ask as I still have cranks with some folks who have had them for 2 years!
