    Grimeca Double sided front brake

Hi there. I'd like some opinions please on this one. I've had the front wheel out of my double sided, drum braked Benelli 2C and when I run the wheel in a stand the hub looks to be running about 10mm out if true but the bearings housings seem to look OK. How on earth could this be? Has anyone experienced anything like this? More importantly has anybody got any ideas how this could be rectified? To be clear, I'm not talking about the rim, this is the hub.

    thanks

That sounds pretty serious, but I would suspect the bearings are not sitting properly. It's hard to imagine that the hub itself could be that far out.
If I were you, I would take it to a wheel builder to get it checked properly. Where are you ? I have used Hagon in Essex for a number of jobs and always found them to give a really excellent service.

    Wezzo,
Did you look at the hub between the fork legs before removal? Was it correctly spaced?

    Hi,
Is the speedo drive causing the misalignment? As you will need to ensure it back in correctly with the cog roller....it may require spinning backwards then forwards. I had to do this with mine.

    cheers
