Benelli 2C 250 con rod dimensions

As per the title, could anybody point me to some reference materials or if you have one knocking about could you have a measure up please. It alternatively does anyone have any experience of using another rod? I'm told a KX80 may be a fit. From what I can find that has a 92mm length, a width of 14mm, and a crankpin diameter of 22mm

I looked into this earlier this year & coudnt find an equivalent rod, also the bigend pin is integral with one of the crank cheeks, in the ens Chris Appelbee Engineering rebuild my crank as he has OEM parts on the shelf.

    Con rod

The reason I ask is that I was speaking with a chap that raced a Benelli and he said that he was running an engine with a con rod that was 5mm longer and used a Honda(?) piston with a different crank pin location which allowed the engine to be taken out to 250cc. So some measurements would allow me to research this one further

Hi Wezzo, the easiest way to increase capacity is to bore the Iron barrels out to 58 mm and fit oversize pistons. This cant be done with alloy barrels . On Ebay Italy they have been selling oversize pistons recently, the should make a high revving short stroke engine!

Hi there, yes it's not as simple as that. Finding oversize pistons and indeed iron barrels is not an easy task, I'm looking at this route as an alternative, but thanks for your posts so far

Hi Wezzo just a thought I own a Benelli 125 single that is basically half a 2c. The only difference is that it has a longer stroke the crank is probably 2 of mine joined in the middle but my single is 120cc. This might be a way of increasing the cc of a alloy barrelled 2c. I have a crank on my bench if you need any dimensions .
