    Damn excited! Joining the club!

Just sent a deposit for a 1990 Benelli Sei 900 and couldn't be happier!

Went to go see it last weekened.. it's been part of a private collection (of 300+ motorcycles!!) for the past 20 years or so, and the last valid registration sticker was from 2007.

Has Damn excited! Joining the club!-img_9215.jpgbeen offroad for quite some time so the brakes are somewhat frozen, but other than that it looks to be in very good condition. Very low mileage, so wear and tear should be minimal. Now it'll have to have all rubber parts checked and/or replaced, the brakes rebuilt, etc but nothing too scary.

Of course I also ordered today a shiny, new 6-to-6 exhaust to add a little flair

Been having trouble sleeping this week due to the excitment - now I need to wait a little longer for the bike to arrive and be worked over. And the exhaust has a 6-week leadtime :-(

Tremendously excited and hope to be able to post stories about how much fun I'm having as opposed to posting in the "technical issues" portion of the forum :-)

That's a real beauty. Looks like my first Benelli, which of course I wish I had never sold, but at the time I needed the money. That 6-into-6 exhaust sytem looks the business too. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

When those exhausts are fitted post a picture, they look fab. I have been contemplating fitting a set myself.
    Good luck with the bike

    Thanks all!

Bike arrived at my local shop today... I think it will look spectacular when the 6-6 exhausts are mounted, but there's some work to be done before then. The good news is that the local mechanic says that the bike looks quite solid and doesn't see any surprises (famous last words??)
