I love that! I have a green 250SS that is a long way from looking that good.

Very good, Your attention to detail is excellent, I never thought about re-lettering the seat! how did you do it? it is true that the devil is in the detail.
That makes the difference between a good rebuild, and an excellent one.

I got a adhesive stencil made in the type style and size I wanted , covered the seat very well and painted it on .... very careful.... many very very light "over- spray -coats" and a warm breeze from the hairdryer ...
    Using paint for vinyl!

Wow you are making a good job of the restoration, the dexion strip on the seat is probably what the factory should have done, always looked isolated on my 250 ss. The hand pump is also a nice touch well done

Thank you! Here are a few more details.... remote choke, aluminum steering dampener knob, turn signal switch, foldable handle to pull the bike on the center stand, exhaust brace, aluminum breather tube, air intake front brake,

Really nice work and she looks really good. Would like to do my 250ss some time but am put off by the time and cost of getting chroming done here in the UK, and even when it does get done the results are not always very good.
Did you get new decals for the side covers ? and if so where, as I need them for mine.
