New 1973 250 SS owner (needs restoration)

Hello, after a long search I finally found the bike I'm looking for! It is in not very good condition, rust, dents... but very low miles!
My father bought one in 1975and sold it within weeks because he found metal in the oil...
I was 10 years old and that bike just stuck in my mind...... my Dad passed away a couple years ago.
    He will watch....

I am thinking making it a little miles Racer, The way we did it in the 70s! I wanted to be green, being a Benelli. It has a lot of rust ! I already took it apart? It took 250 minutes? Funny! The rims are absolutely rotten and so is the muffler! The chrome is very very bad! Now I have three big boxes one for the powder coder, one for the chrom shop and one for me, all pieces that have to be painted (get the rust out of the Gastank first and seal it) and aluminum parts that have to be polished! I also have a very extensive shopping list! Which is kind of fun?

Small portion of things to chrome.
    Melted needles in gauges.
