    250ss finally running

Its been WAY too long getting this bike on the road....10yrs or so. It fired up on the big dellorto...but ran like crap. I decided to throw on a Mikuni VM34, and the stock jetting is darn close! Starts right up, good idle, pulls all the gears! Now I'm doing the "tighten all the hardware I forgot to tighten" drill! Overall....I"m pretty happy with it!

1972 250ss/ 5 spd. MZB igntion and 12v lighting, braced frame, extended swing arm, shouldered alloy rims, custom intake and exhaust......now i need to get some road miles

Congratulations! The bike look really nice.

Before doing any road miles though, you'll need to put an air filter on it, and/or turn the intake spigot around so the carburettor isn't facing forward like an air scoop. That forward facing open carby mouth will eat any dirt thrown up by the front tyre. I don't think I've ever seen one with the carby facing forward like that before.

agreed....filter on order, I'm just waiting for it before taking it out for a proper ride and carb tune.
The intake manfold is a one-off and can only fit in that manor. Its port matched.....

the inlet port and bolt pattern is modified and asymmetrical. I would need to make a new one to move the carb.

If you turn the bike around, the carby will face the other way.

What a beauty- well done. I can appreciate the mods and upgrades you did, great choices. Sounds great, too- did you drop the idle?
