    guzzi 254

    Him richard
What year is this model. For the record the Guzzi machines wore bodywork as per the Benelli 254 but without the bar fairing. The only other bike that I have seen that fits your description was at a dealers in Eye Suffolk about 1999 in a sorry state that also had the clocks set high. At the time I thought that it had been converted. The interesting thing will be the build date if special likely to be around 1974/75. Would be worth having if is a genuine
    one off

    Hi Richard,
I'd ask the Registro Storico Benelli in Italy if anyone knows about dates, prototypes and the like it's them.

I think what you've got there is a benelli 304 see here

I have a feeling that these were a late version of the 254, designed to allow the rider to look at the speedo AND the road ahead, simultaneously! The styling's certainly similar to the late 125 2C's and i'm fairly sure i've got an advert for one hereabouts
