    Sei 900 - Mad Moment

    Hi All,

New to Benelli. Just bought the Sei off ebay in a moment of madness. I hope all you good people will help out with good advice. It is billed as a "chopper" and even has ape hanger bars! Things will have to change.....

Hi Nick & welcome to the forum, if the Chopper SEI you've bought is THIS ONE, then it will certainly be interesting to see how you get on with it, and even more so if you fulfill the restoration !

Good Luck and keep us updated on progress,

    900 Sei Chopper

Yes this is the one on ebay.......... See what I mean about a moment of madness? Unused for three or four years and lived in a shed. Starts easily and sounds mechanically fine and spine tingling with the 6 into1. "Non Standard" electrics and a dodgy alternator.

The ideal would be to restore with the 900 tank seat unit and fit a 6 into 6. Anybody got any those knocking about. Havent figured out how to upload pics yet but will keep you updated.
    Cheers

    Nick

    Hi Nick
No too many of good secondhand silencers are to be found has they are usually in a bad state.Send a email to [email protected], re manuals etc The club does have the means of locating parts New/Used but you do need to be a member to use the full facilities. To see if this interests you please visit www.benelliclubgb.net.

    Mad Buy 900 Sei

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for the info. I have a copy of a rather bare set of diagrams to go on. Main issue is electrics! Silencers are not the top prority. I have been to your site and will take up the membership. I think I am going to need all the wisdom I can get.

    Cheers,

    Nick

Could be worth a call to Keihan System in the midlands. They make stainless exhausts and silencers to suit many classics. Don't list Benelli, but may be worth a call?
    regards, Bob
