Many of you may have heard how one of the ways Benelli salesmen sold Sei's back in the 70s was by impressing potential buyers with the incredible smoothness of the engine by balancing a coin on the gas tank while revving the engine to 5,000 RPM. Well, I was pulling this stunt on my 76 Sei at the Ride INto History concourse in St. Augustine, Florida, last spring, when Clement Salvadori of Rider magazine came by and snapped a picture. The December issue of Rider features the picture on page 64; be sure to look at the tach!
