    Passolini Replica

    Hi, I'm new on here.
For the past 2 years, off & on, I've been building a Passolini Replica 500 Benelli.
It's now at the stage where I need to get it sprayed, does anyone know the colour code or the name of the green that Benelli used on the works bikes?

Don`t know if this gonna help but I have the code on the newest green TRE 1130-07.

    It`s called Green Benelli BF198

    Basic Paint : B ( Black )

    Finishing : TL ( polished transparent )

    Nice colour though

Good luck with your build and some pictures would be nice

    Many thanks for the help.
Heres a pic before I had the tank made & fitted the fairing, just waiting for the seat which is being made of aluminium, should be here next week.
I'll post some more when it arrives.
I've gone for the Fontana brakes instead of the usual Ceriani's, cos I like the look of them
A friend did tell me that Pasollini rode a 500 Benelli with Fontana's on at one stage, can anyone verify that????

Hi, looks superb. I see you have CR carbs on, have you done anything else with the engine? I'm in the process of improving my Benelli 4, perhaps we could swap notes.

Hi limpwrist, all I've done at the moment to the engine is to clean the ports up. I don't know what tuning bits are available? The next step is to have all the engine bits vapour blasted & then build the engine!!!
With the help of George Beale I've found the colour of the green that is closest to the original Benelli green, it's Leaf Green, code RAL 6002.

Lovely! Are you going to race or parade it?

I believe tuning parts are available from the Benelli Club of Spain. There is another replica that sometimes appears at CRMC events around the UK. Drooled at that one on a number of occasions! In fact I think there is a picture of it on my gallery

Yamaha 750 post classic race bike currently in road trim .... Plus loads of bits and a some funds to build something else!!!
