    750 SEI headlight

    Hi.

IŽam looking for a headlight for my sei at reasonable price. Does anybody knows any brand or reference equivalent to the original headlight?.

I have found this in ebay.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLAT-BACK-HEAD...-/390298630915

(first ref. upper left on the page).

It seams to be the same size and shape but IŽam not totally sure.
Is the same headlight suitable for Triumph T 150 and BSA Rocket 3. Equivalent ref. Lucas 66-65072. Size 7 inch.

    Anybody knows if it fits?.

    Thanks!.

    Carles,
If you are wanting to keep the original electrical system, then I have a spare headlamp shell which needs to be separated from the instrument housing.

    Carles,
Your electrical connectors seem standard. Check them against my photos

    Hi Ian,

thanks for the images, they are very clear. As I suspect the former owner modified the original electrical system to adapt an ugly head lamp (the actual I want to remove). I can see this fact clearly in your pictures because I have not this nice multiconnectors that your photos shows. My actual electric wiring goes directly to the back of the headlight, without any kind of connector. However may be I could modify and adapt the actual mesh of wires to the original system.

Do you have the whole head lamp or only the back?. How much is it?.
Do you have other Sei parts on sell?, IŽam looking for a front mudguard also.

    Thanks and best regards!.

    Carles,
I have a few other parts but not the headlight. I have a chain guard and a few other parts such as a rear light support but I can't get to have a look for a few days. It would be worth getting the correct connectors and fixing the wiring system if you can. Regards,
    Ian

    Thanks Ian.
Let me think about. I need to analyze the actual wiring in order to decide if it is possible to be rebuild without too much work.
    Keep in touch.

    Regards.

    Carles,
Looking at your wiring photo it looks like you have 2 out of the three connectors already. With the correct wiring diagram you can work out the correct arrangement in the connectors. The factory circuit diagram is OK as it gives the correct order for the wires in the plastic block connectors. Each bullet terminal has a single barb( if I remember correctly) which needs to be depressed with a thin probe in from the front of the block if you want to remove a particular wire.
    Best of luck.

Hi Ian, I really appreciate your help and advise, thank you.
Those days I will check this deeply and try to rebuild as original. In order to your diagnostic suppose that the former owner attached an extra wire circuit to the original terminals to adapt it to a non original head light, then, may be the rebuild is easier than expected...
    Check and tell you about.

A question. Do you have also a sei, or only spare parts?.

    Best Regards.

    Carles,
I have a few Benellis: a new Sei 750 and a new Quattro 500 and another 2 used Quattros. I will probably be able to get a photo of the parts that I have to-morrow.

Here is what I have apart from the chain guard

Note the connector at the top which is the largest of the ones I showed earlier.
