I found an exact match at a bike wrecker. It came off of a Ducati but can't say which. It was in a box of radiator caps I was searching through for another reason when I recognised it.

Could you fill the pitted seat with solder?
I saw the same thing on Tax's bike a few months ago & thought maybe a good clean up and solder might work.

I have temp repaired the seat with a washer bonded on the original with metal epoxy, thanks for advicei will look for one,my cap is still usable for now, just one of the little tangs that hold the seat bit has disapeared. I think a repair would be possible with an aluminlum solder, the hard bit would be how to cut the seating again ??

I wonder if the alternative is off a KTM?
This post on the MV Forum would suggest so. It looks like a dead spit! It's certainly a 1.4 Bar. The Multistrada one I've seen on ebay probably fits but the pressure is higher at 1.8 Bar. Probably ok but it puts more strain on the hoses if the temperature gets high enough.

If anyone has a chance to check please let us know.
