    New Tornado Tre owner

    Hi to everyone,

I have been a proud owner of a Tornado 900 for a few weeks now. It is in green and silver colour scheme and is in very nice condition.

Just wanted to thanks anyone on this forum - forum gave me quite a lot of information and help me a lot with my baby steps towards the ownership of a Benelli.

Despite everything runs good I basically have to do full service on the bike and I must do all modifications on the bike in including Z25, clutch checking and chain tension.

I expected all that before purchase thanks to the forum!

Congrats on your acquisition and welcome.

You probably know this already, but when you do the mods if you follow the instructions on Engenia's site you won't go wrong. It's worth downloading his revised workshop manual as he has corrected a lot of the torque settings. When you check the timing chain adjustment make sure you have the longer tensioner spring fitted - the short one does nothing once the chain has stretched a bit. (Matt put me right on that score).

Guys, thanks for warm welcome! I read Engenia's site several times already... what an excellent encyclopaedia for Tornado!!! It is really easy and fun to work on the bike as a rookie...

My first job tend to be change of Z25 gear and check the clutch. Kevin thanks for reminder about the spring for the chain tensioner. It is second on my list... My guess is that it is "older" shorter since nothing on the bike wasn't fixed. Only radiator cap was changed at some point and it is "wider" one...

I just made a plastic piece for the tank removal...
