    Vintage Benelli Model

    Hi All,
Just joined , and just bought a vintage Benelli last week , the bike was stored in a house for over 24 years , the tank is in primer and other parts, so I can't see a model number or name any where on the bike, I was hoping some one might have engine /serial number info. Here it is engine number 475159 the frame is matching , almost all of the bike seems original I think it might be from 1958- 1962 250 cc but just guessing . Any info would be great , I just like this little bike and think I'll restore it . Thanks Bill

Bill if you dont know how to resize your pictures you can send a mail to yourself with the pictures attached.
In that process you will normally be asked if you want resize your pictures (make them smaller)
Then when you get the mail (normally in seconds ) you can put the resized pictures on your desktop and from there upload them to the forum.

    Cheers

Here is Bill's first pic. It might be worth switching the lights on when you take some more

Bloody hell Bill, do we win a prize if we manage to guess the model from this photo?

Is that the cylinder head on the front of the engine? And is the exhaust missing, where does it exit?

I think it could be an old Motobi Catria 175 like this one:

Most seem to have been made late 1950s - early 1960s. Nice find if so!
