    Unsupported ecu type TREK 1130

    Evening all,

Currently trying to connect to my Aus delivered 2014 TREK 1130 with a Lonelec cable, and rs232 convertor and tune ecu. I have tried with 2 different laptops, using both serial and usb settings. and getting an "Unsupported ecu type" message i also had the TREK401 map loaded in.

I downloaded Tune ecu for android and am not getting any results trying to connect using the same cable and a converter to hard connect to the phone (Galaxy S8)

I have tried with a battery charger and reading 13.4v on the terminals of the charger while connected to the battery after a few hours, however i have tried to pull the lights fuse but the park lights and tail lights stay on.

Anyone had any similar experiences or solutions?

I am almost at the point of spending the money on a tuneboy.

i had an issue with my tuneEcu software not being able to connect it drove me nuts for a while.
i too have the Lonelec cable with their serial to usb adapter.
in the end i uninstalled my usb drivers and the windows version of TuneEcu off my laptop and then re installed drivers and software again.
all is good now no problems at all . but ive noticed that i have to connect all cables to ecu first then switch ignition on, and then start software and lastly then plug the usb into pc.
hope this helps .. the only message i kept on getting was " Could not connect to ecu" or something very similar

just tried the full un install and re install. and re-did the drivers off the lonelec site. No Joy, i dare say my ecu might have been one of the last ones before the model run was finished, and possibly isn't supported in the Tune ecu software or TREK401 map.
i have messaged Alain Fonataine to see if he can provide any support.

So i had some feedback from Alain, apparently my bike has the new walbro ECU (ECU4) and not supported by tuneECU.

Hopefully a tuneboy might be able to resolve the issue.

Is your USB cable between your phone and Lonelec cable OTG (On-The-Go) supported?

    Hi.

"am not getting any results trying to connect using the same cable and a converter to hard connect to the phone (Galaxy S8)".
Is your USB cable between the phone and the Lonelec cable OTG (On-The-Go) supported?

I had the same "unsupported ecu type" issue with my TNT 1130 -05. I couldn't connect my bike with computer, but two weeks ago I loaded this Android app. At first I couldn't connect it, but then I realized that the cable has to be OTG. Now I am able to connect my bike and TuneEcu on Android, but now the problem is that I can't reprogram my ecu.

Tuneecu just gives me a warning:

    "Warning
    Turn ignition off
    Plug the programming connector
    Turn ignition on"

Turning ignition off disconnects my bike from TuneEcu and disconnects the connection I already had. New connection requires relaunching (off and on again) the Tuneecu-app ..Connector was already plugged. Am I doing something wrong?

The programming connector is the amp 2pin plug. This connector disables the write protection of the ecu.

    Any solution for ECU4 connection?

Has anyone found a solution for connection to the latest TreK ECU (ECU4?) unsupported by TuneECU? We have another one of these in the Aussie Benelli Owners group that needs a TPS reset. It lost the setting through a starting attempt with a flat battery. So far it seems the only answer seems to be to trailer the bike a few hundred kilometers to the nearest dealer. Can anyone offer a lower hassle solution?

I've heard a whisper that this ECU is now supported by TuneEcu . The only thing I've not found out is if it's the on the free windows version or the Android paid version.. my guess would be the paid .

I'll as more questions on TuneEcu FB page .
