there's a short video of the stepper action HERE
I do have NGK iridium spark plugs fitted.
I know where the stepper motor is located, but how could I check if it's working?
When you turn on the ignition key with the kill switch set to run you'll here the fuel pump priming and along side of that sound you'll here the stepper motor clicking into action ready for a start.
I may be stuck if not heard or it could also sound like it's working but also be stuck. The only way to check for sure is to remove the petrol tank and the airbox to watch it at start up .
There is some great info on Errol's web page . 👍
I appreciate your help guys! I'll check the stepper motor as soon as possible.
Going back to the Tuneecu issue, I beleive I screwed it up my self when I removed the 6-pin connector without disconnecting the software first (it was very bright, I couldn't see the screen).
This action could corrupt the ECU data. Maybe I can solve the problem by simply reinstalling the correct map ...

I can hear the stepper motor when I turn on the key and I can feel a vibration when I touch it, but it stays steell, there is no movement. Does this mean it's stuck?
I also reprogrammed the ECU by downloading a new map (the same one that was installed), but the problem remains the same: the starter works, but there is no ignition ...
Just out of interest, what lithium-ion battery did you swap to?
If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer
the problem was in the plugs (one of them wasn't sparking); new plugs and the engine starts at once, thanks a lot guys!!!
I still need to adjust the new map and find out what happens with the stepper motor...
I also found lower compression in one of the cylinders, but I tested them in cold, I'm not sure if it's reliable
My battery is a Skyrich HJTZ14S-FP, equivalent to the YTZ14S. works, but u need a Li-ion charger
