TNT 125 electrics cut out when pressing electric start button

Hi all, has anyone got any advise. My brother has a TNT 125 2018, he was riding down the road when it lost power then kicked back in, then died again and would not start. Everytime you press the electric start button all the electrics cut off. Everything else works but as soon as you touch the electric Start button all electrics shut off and then come back on when you let go of the button

This could be as simple as the battery connections are loose, check & tighten both connectors on the battery.

    Hi Paul,

Battery terminals are connected perfectly fine

Certainly sounds like dodgy battery connections to me, or possibly a faulty battery. Could also be a bad earth connection from battery to frame.

Thought battery too at first but put a brand new battery on exactly the same, earths are great, used a screwdriver to bridge terminals on the starter solenoid to rule that out but done exactly the same

18 plate bike is under warranty, book it in for warranty repair if the basic obvious stuff has been checked & ruled out.
