I thought I first saw this bike with French plates ?
So it has been registered in a European country previously.
It should be a simple case of obtaining an age related plate put on the bike issued by DVLA on a new V5c

Got a German R1M from 2015 registered no problem . Just sent them a copy of the German title papers (Zulassungsbescheingung Teil).
Have also exported a car back to Paris , sent a receipt (confirming sale and date of purchase)and the V5c Original and sent the export document slip to DVLA, to confirm permanent export .

I think you need to point out to the muppet dealing with this at DVLA.
It was approved in France with its registration in whatever year , (copy of its registration document ) it was registered. It was imported into this country and now requires an adopted , age related registration , in keeping with its age .
You may require proof from the source you bought it from , Sale date, a receipt of payment dated that day, and confirmation it has been permanently exported from France to the UK.
It has been examined by a registered MOT testing station , and tested , I assume on its Vin number. There are no longer VOSA VIC checks to establish the vin number matches the vehicle documents . MOT tester has done that at the test !!!!

It has been previously registered , and approved , its year of registration and confirmation of its conformity has already been established in France.
To use it in this country you need , it mot,d in this country (not TUVd), A registration document (V5c) registered in your name . you need insurance for that registration . and then you provide road vehicle tax on that registration to use it legally on the road. Simples .

Best of luck, suggest you ring them up on the dog and bone , they are usually more approachable , when you speak to them .
Explain the situation and you want to give them MONEY.
    It normally works .

    Aaaaaaand still no V5

DVLA tell me CoC or SVA test pass certificate or no V5

I was in contact with someone at the export dept. at Pesaro who passed my CoC request on to the homologation dept, then nothing,nada,squat.........

That means standard pipe back on, tried at the weekend, not as straight forward as it seems, 2 mounting adaptors are missing, replacements out of stock at motogb.

Doesnt look like sheíll see the light of day this summer

Itll be worth it in the end.

good job iíve got the MV to play with.

There really is something being lost in the translation here.
The bike is a French registered import Yes ?
It has been registered in France previously and used .
It has been exported to England , legally, and has its French documents, you have a bill of sale from the seller, proof of payment, and the seller has notified the French authorities that it has been sold and Exported Yes ?
No CoC is required, it was accepted ,when being registered in France , and used on French roads .
IVA does not apply as the vehicle has a European accepted CoC.
Either something is missing here ,or a UK approved MOT or bill of sale , confirming Vin number, that corresponds to the French documentation , or proof of import and/or bill of sale , dated and confirmed is not correct.
Suggest you make an appointment at DVLA Swansea , drive there and take all the relevant documentation, Ask them face to face what you have that they do not accept , and why ?
If all else fails , ask them what you need to do, to legally use this second hand vehicle on British roads . The answer will be entertaining to say the least .

Didnt know now I could make an appointment to see them...... that could be the next step.

.......and yes, have all the above documentation

    Thanks for the advice
