    Benelli tnt 1130 2004

Hello I recently replaced the starter thrust bearing. To seal the gearbox I used loctite si 5980, unfortunately I just started to leak oil. Does anyone know where you can buy a transmission gasket. Can anyone know a way to seal without pulling out the gearbox.

    Hi,
Sorry to hear you have an oil leak 😞
If I were you I'd pull the gearbox back out ,make sure you select 4th gear first . Then I'd clean the casings with carb cleaner then use a thin layer of gasket sealer to re seal them .
I'm sure you'll get other suggestions soon from someone else and maybe a link to some gasket paper .

There is no gasket on the gearbox.
Benelli recommend Threebond 1215, but I couldn't get that. I used Loctite Grey MAXX RTV silicone instead, recommended by the local Loctite branch. It is non-corrosive and resists 200C.
But as Rick stated, you do need to start from very clean surfaces, which means you will have to remove the cassette again to fix the leak.

Rick67 with fourth gear you mean not to damage the neutral gear sensor

    Yes that's the reason,
I've not done it myself yet but everyone says it's an easy enough job

It's WAY easier to select 4th gear to protect the neutral switch from damage when removing the gearbox, than removing the switch itself.

Hi! I'm from Poland. I am the happy owner of benelli tnt 1130 year 2004. Motorcycle serviced at maniac motors by Alex. I want to sell it but in Poland it is not very popular motorcycle and it is hard to find a customer. Can someone know a sales platform address for example in Germany.

Autoscout 24 Deutschland but beware of scammers, make sure you have the money, before parting with your bike .

You could post the details on here , the forum , I regularly ship bikes back to the UK from Germany and back out .

    Best regards
