Question Bike stalls as if triggered the drop sensor

    Hello mates,

One of our club member's has a Tornado fault. Rarely, one or two times during the ride, making his way between the rows, he squeezes the clutch to catch neutral, and as a failure, the bike just stalls. As if triggered the drop sensor. Instantly without jerking, just goes silent, as remote control turned off. Starts immediately without problems. Any ideas what it might be?

Don't know what causes it and It's quite a common fault but increasing the tick-over revs to around 1400/1500 helps to prevent it from happening too often.

Agree with Laurence as I had this issue for a while and increasing tickover rectified the problem.

Also, bizarrely it also used to happen in damp weather....and I assume it's a bit damp in Russia at the moment?
And also, once the tickover had resolved the issue, it began to stall the FIRST time I stopped or slowed right down....REGARDLESS of how far I had travelled, 1 mile, 3 miles or more..., it didn't seem to matter. Eventually Matt at Bennetts remapped it and it went away?

In fact, it is a bit damp at the moment. It's anomalously warm now, +5C no snow, no rain, no nothing. This is the first time since 2008 as far as I remember, but noone rides their bikes after it gets below +9...+7C in November. Especially now. Only a few get out on the roads. Cold n dirty, absolutely no fun and need to do that.

In spite of this, there are goofy bikers who fly at ballistic speeds even in January

    Class Video..........absolute nutter!!
I lived in SP for 3 years, and the crazy things I saw on Nevsky Prospekt, will stay with me forever.

On the cutting out issue, mine used to cut out due to the side stand switch getting damp or vibrations.
    Regular WD40 did the trick.
