Just wanted to say hi, been lurking around a while and reading posts, ( think I'm on page 65) so getting clued up
Should be on my tornado this time next week, unfortunately I bought the slowest, .The green one! With all mods done and just over 2k on the clock and registered on a 14 plate,
The ridiculing from mates has started already but I'm used to not having reliability as I ride 2strokes but hopefully I can educate them that the benelli is more reliable than they think,
Anyway more reading to do....

Welcome. Yes, the garish green ones are the most common as well. They all were made 2003-2004 but some were crated for later registration.

Your mates are just jealous because you have one of the most beautiful motorbikes on the planet at an affordable price. Great to ride too. Prices are on the way up since the all-time 2nd hand low of ~1 year back. A classic in the making ..

RS red 363
RS yellow 45
Tre 900 red 409
Tre 900 green/silver 925
Tre 900 black/silver 205
LE'(green/silver) 150
Tornado Tre (called Nera with brown effect paint job) 1
Carbon Frame Prototype (green/silver) 1

TOTAL = 2,099 made. Less binned ones = ?

"Garish green" wash you mouth out with soap. the paint is two coat with gold leaf ,over sprayed with beautiful green colour coat, classic Benelli racing colours, they ran out of the good stuff and then found a bit of red, silver and black to finish the last . Ducati did not have a a lot of success with their yellow, so they sent the left overs to finish what was left..
Trouble with yellow is all the flies land on it and shit . Only a bit of fun boys !

Not sure what you mean by slowest. People with silver and green say the others are slower and vice vercer. Anyway none of them are slow to the average rider on todays roads in the real world. As for your mates, once they hear the sound when it is opened up they will be impressed or deaf. As for reliability Ive had mine for 2 years with no trouble and Ive used it for touring.

Just worried me a little reading all the negativity but I've never ran with the crowd, I nearly bought a benelli 250 four when I was 17 but went for the KH instead, since I saw one of these about 10 years ago in portsmoouth I've always fancied one, and as it's my 60th birthday soon I thought I'd treat myself, happy birthday me ;)

Hi I'm sure you wise enough by now to realise that some folk just trash any idea that someone else's bike is equal or better than theirs especially if it cost less 😉 ... I'm pretty sure you've made an awesome choice
I know I did when I finally bumped into my Trek one day last September.

Welcome! Don't worry about reliability issues...I see plenty of BMW, Audi and so on, on recovery vehicles. My mates Fireblade snapped at the weld point on the swingarm, seen R1 sh1t its pants on the A11. Just that anything Italian that might go wrong gets such bad press. So what is reliability!...My Kia Sportage family car has been bullet proof. My mates 3 year old BMW X5 has needed over 2k of mechanical work done....get my drift. Ride it, look after it and do the basic service checks...it will be fine. Life is too short to worry about what if. Most importantly welcome to a niche brand that most others will never get.

None of my mates question the reliability of Nell. She's just under 130,000 km now and when she's not at the front of the pack she's nipping at the leader's heels. I seriously doubt any of your mates could boast similar odometer readings.

Hi & welcome.

They are a fantastic bike & im sure you will love it.

I have had a couple of issues with mine but not at all put me off, in my opinion it is the most beautiful bike available, certainly that i can afford anyway!

Let us know how the first few rides go when you get it/her/him.

Hi and welcome to Benelli ownership. Had my TNT from mew in 2010 I've put 20000 miles on him in all seasons mainly longer camping and rallies. No problems . Just use her regularly and you won't have any hassle. Enjoy that exclusive ownership and fantastic exhaust note.

You have a green and silver one?... Rejoice!
No one ever lusts for red , cos it could be any yamductrihondasaki
ive had mine 8 years and it has never evn hiccuped , like you say ,keep reading and asking on here ,the few minor things that need to be done are common knowledge on this forum
Your mates arent doubters they are just scared , scared of being different and breaking from the norm
A benelli in full flight is a marvellous thing to behold ,also your bike when parked at any meet will draw more admires than all the other bikes put together
Welcome to the exclusive benelli club
