collor code of the yellow for the Amazonas

    Hello Benellistis,

unfortunately I have made a deep mark in the tank of my Amazonas. Don`t ask me how I do that…
So I must look for the color code to order the correct color by the painter. I look in the users manual. That tell me, the collor code is on the label on the right side of the frame, near the steering head. I find the label, but the part of the label with the color code is damaged… Also the other label with the color code, placed under the seat, is unreadable.
So, my question is: Do anyone know the correct color of the yellow for the Benelli Amazonas?

Thanks a lot for your help

    Best regard

    Anton

From the Benellii paint codes you get Yellow Metallic GB022 which is Palinal 928.D.438

19 YELLOW MET BG022 B PALINAL 928.D.438 YELLOW AMAZONAS TL

    Best of luck getting that!

I suggest that you take the bike, or part such as a mudguard, down to you local quality automotive paint supplier and get them to scan it in with a Spectrophotometer rand get a match.
I did get some paint that accurately matched using exactly that process..

    Hello Gordon,

thanks a lot for your reply. I asked my painter and he told me exactly the same like you. He analyse the collor with his spectrophotometer and mix the collor acording this result.

    Regards
    Anton

To find the correct color was not a easy job for my painter. He find no supplier ho sales him the color according the Benelli color code. And the Spectrophotometer gives him two wrong results before he found the correct one. With this color I really can´t find any difference to the original lack. It seems the color is the same like the Nissan color NISE33, this was the color what the Spectrophotometer found in the third lube.
Please note, the original Amazonas- yellow is a 3- layer metalic- perlmut- lack, so you need a basic lack (1), a perlmut glaze (2) and at the end a clear lacquer

Hope this can help If anybody have the same problem like me

I did the exact thing two years ago as the color code was unknown.
The color was great, but it became a tad to yellow, doesn't really matter for me as this is a complete "Kit" i had planned as reserve, so when i scratch the original on the bike i just swap all parts while i paint the other set.
