    Side stand.

Anyone got a side stand for sale?

Thinking about lowering the bike (yes, I'm short) and want to shorten the side stand so the bike will stand at an angle...

After installing, also lowering the front fork by letting it sink a little.

Also want to be able to restore it to original.

    Suggestions? Alternative sidestand from AliExpress?
Side stand I can cut and weld?

    Thank you.

    Hi Pete ..
When I first got mine I lowered my bike with home made rear dog bone links and cut about 10 mm off sidestand ect .
Yes welding the foot back on works a treat .
I only had it lowered for about a week I hated the way the bike felt on the road .it just wasn't right .
I've had it back up on its long legs ever since .. much better handling ect .

Weirdly the bike likes the lowered stand so I left it .
My advice is . Ride it as intended you'll get used to her as is . If you must lower the front forks a bit and remove some or all preload off rear shock.
Obviously test ride quality as you tweak stuff .
    Nice colour bike too 🙂

Instead of shortening the side stand leg, consider using a couple of wedges to increase the angle.

I have a spare stand off my Amazonas .
Straight line length from tip of flat part to centre of pivot hole is 248mm.
    PM me if interested.

A mighty fine idea this wish id thought of it a couple years back ,

i did a similar mod to change the angle of a fixed satnav bracket on my headstock om another bike , but i had to make four to keep the bolts straight ( two in opposite directions either side of the plate).

drove me nuts trying to get them right without any engineering skills or machines
