Get one made?

I'm looking for a Benelli Sport can for my RS if anyone has one or knows of one for sale. Give me a shout- thanks:)
Blade, had mine hand made, on a tnt 899s , was 300 quid, the guy removed two sections from teh back and made it all in one with no cat, sounds great and looks da mutts, might be a cheaper option and get rid of the cat if you still have it fitted

Hi Ray, thanks for that. Is it a "stubby"? I'll hold out for as long as i can, because i love the look and sound of the Benelli Sport cans, but they seem to be few and far between. Am not a big fan of "stubby" cans, but i may have to bite the bullet. I really need to sell the bike (to put towards a house deposit) but i've actually become smitten with the RS, so am toying with the idea of keeping it...

stubby can?

Nope, its not a stubby, but the TNT is an underseat unit. The guy at custom pipes can make anything, so I'm sure he'd quote you if he gets to see the bike. Once he has, he'll need a week to get the parts and then a few days with the bike. Mine was great value, sounds sooperb and pulls much better now.
Would HIGHLY recommend you look at any local exhaust makers and get a price? Must be one near you somewhere, if not plan a trip across the M62 to Donny!
I was the same as you, wanted more noise but aftermarket bits for the TNT are sooo scarce without lashing out for the Termignoni set, once I had the quote of ÂŁ80 for a new de-cat mid section it seemed childish not to get the whole lot made up at the ÂŁ300 quoted.
Looks the bomb and sounds like a triple SHOULD sound. I've put a vid on youtube, I'll see if I can post a link as I'm away from home for next two weeks.

Cheers

sounds not great as the dog was having fits in the background and it was done on my phone, but you can see what he did. On the original theres a section from under the rear brake lever to just above the swingarm by the rear shock, which contains the Cat, then the last section goes a;ll the way to the end. mine's been changed to a single pipe all the way from near the back brake pedal, with custom back box etc, was all ÂŁ300 notes, and some-how the cat got lost......

aye

yeah the dog's a banana!
Had the engine re-mapped as was only getting 30mpg max, before the zorst was done. Not sure how well it was set up prior to me getting it back in May though. But the map cost me ÂŁ45 at Bennets, which is only about 30 miles away anyway.
Not sure yet what effect it will have on MPG as I'm out of the country and not really had a chance to monitor it, BUT the bloody thing damn near pulled my arms off on the way home, it's made a good bike into a GREAT bike.
Your other option is the carbon Can company, also in Doncaster, you might be able to breeze across, they can measure it up, make up, pop back in and get it fitted and front up at bennets on the way home for a re-map?
Is yours still with cat or without?

Sorry for the late reply, Ray. Cat- erm...dunno- as far as i can tell, the exhaust set-up is as it rolled out of the factory. Not really technically minded so not sure as to how the cat affects anything...

Regarding remapping, is that something that can ONLY be done at a Benelli dealer, or is it a case of a laptop and appropriate software?

maps and cans!

Blade,
you'd have to take your mid section out and have a look, but if it's not sounding "gruff", its probably still there. Exhaust is lots cooler without the cat, but that's more important to me as mine runs under the seat!
As ffor the map, am assuming that it needs to be done by Benelli, as I too am a F***wit with pooters, but at ÂŁ45, I'm seriously NOT complaining!
Ormskirk isn't that far from Barnsley, so get it booked into Bennets! Takes about an hour.

Sparkey,
behind B and Q? well near there, you have an option of also calling the Carbon can company in Askern, Doncaster. they run out of a small unit, and are on the web.
For Custom Pipes, If you come along M1- M18, take the first junction off to Donny after the A1 flyover, turn left onto road to Donny, B and Q is on the left, turn left at roundabout into B and Q, then turn right at next roundabout, Custom pipes are just past the right hand turn, last white unit in the row.
Excellent gut truck at B and Q too!!! just in case you are peckish....

Custom pipes are the ones that did mine, speak to Ryan, details here,

Guys,
I'm out of the country til end of this week, but if you are stuck and want some info, PM me and I'll give you my mobile number and arrange to catch up with you if you decide to come to Doncaster to sort your exhausts. far easier than all this bloody typing malarkey.

Blade, you would NOT believe how good the exhaust on my TNT sounds compared to the original, would strongly recommend Custom Pipes. I also think it pulls harder, but that could be just because it sounds faster....

Am going to be pretty much available from Fri 25th Nov til 22nd Dec, less a few days in Aberdeen for meetings in early december- oh, and the bike show next sunday!
But if I can help you in anyway, I will

Best

Ach you only need a can? am SURE either company can do one for a reasonable fee, mine was ÂŁ300 notes from under the rear brake, all the way under the seat to the end, and that WAS two lengths. shedloads of bends.
If it cost more than 120 notes I'd be surprised unless you wanted a whole new unit made...... :)
