Hi guys I'm trying to swap out my factory brake levers for some aftermarket ones.

I'm having difficulty trying to removing that little black thing in the attached picture. I tried undoing it and starting rounding the nut.

Any ideas guys?

there should be a small allen grub screw in the bottom part attached to the lever. undo this and then it should unscrew then you can remove the bottom part.

hope this helps???????

Right I got it out but that cylinder bit is still stuck in. Will I have to disable the spring in the lever?
It just won't slide out as at full extension it's still blocked.

Barks, Tap out the bush in the standard lever (I think I used an old bolt) and the cylinder will come out you don't actually have to unscrew the plunger. I fitted aftermarket levers to my R160 and never look back, riding a bike with standard levers feels so strange.
