Just going to buy a couple of flashing LED's I think, was looking last night. I'd never trust the battery on these 1130's lasting that long TBH.
Insurance isn't affected so...
:(

As meta and gemel are the same company
I have the gemel on the tornado and have never had any problems with it, I also have the same alarm on the rc8 just the meta version and same again no problems.
I'm not 100% but they both look factory fit

I did have a meta on a fzr1000 some years ago that the immobilizer failed on but it took a crash to do it

I have the Meta and as it's the one that goes into sleep mode isn't an issue with the battery, however. If it wasn't there I probably wouldn't fit one, for the use they are, nobody does anything when they go off, and insurance don't give you a penny off for having one. But won't pay out if it isn't on when it's nicked:rolling:

I no longer fit or have fitted the expensive branded alarms anymore ,due to the fact they have caused more trouble than they are worth . However i tend to self fit ones that tell anyone near by to "back off bastard or i will break your legs" ÂŁ30 a pop work just the same without the issues from my experience . The other big issue i have had is when branded alarms fail i have had to pay to have them professionally removed due to the idiots who have bodge fitted them in the first place . With regards to insurance like Klink said they dont make a scrap of difference .

I rest my case........flashing LED it is for Pandora. Now which ones??

I would do what i do, a decent lock, if you leave it anywhere make sure its chained to something, or dont let it out you sight.... Alarms are crap, even with the alarm going off they pick it up and put it in a van and nobody looks, van is normal covered in motorcycle repair stickers....

Shane's LED route is the best...

Crazy isn't it alarms get older thieves get younger. I was lucky enough to suspect out the wiring when I removed the alarm from my ZX9 and it still worked after. Had a mate a few years ago who put line locks in his front brake lines so when he locked them off there were no brakes at the front, Said if some one takes it it will be the last thing they do, He was a tad mental, ex military went off to be a mercenary somewhere never saw him again.

I settled on this 10mm LED for ÂŁ2.99 inc PP from a UK seller.

Right lets see if they can nick it now then.

Shane, prob not the best place to advertise you have an LED with no Alarm lol....

on the other hand I would be scared of the LED.... :)

I have one of these...........
:) and he destroys one of those chewys........in two days.

and yes he still has these.......
 So extra bad tempered.;)

And if you look a little higher you can see where he got the idea for a red cam cover :p

Is that a Rot? my 2 1/2 year old daughter plays with one of those, its a bigger one, she bats it over the head and tries to sit on it and the dog just sits there lol.... I think your LED is going to do more, plus the dog might chew your tyres... lol...

I had a meta 357t on my 2004 KTM adventure, it gave up a few months ago and I couldn't start the bike, luckily I was at home. Did a load of research and found out that the lifespan of these alarms is about 10 years, had a look to try and remove it, but with wires everywhere it would have been a nightmare! Eventually following even more research I found out that you can bypass it by just using 2 loops........job done!
