hi guys good to find you here, im nik from montenegro, and i recently got my hands on thi baby , it was bought almost dead and now we are fixing it about 99 percent of the things are new, we dont have service and until recently idnt had ebay or paypal , so everything to get was a nightmare , now the bike is running extremely rich and uneven , i made cables connected tuneecu read a map, but cat download, i bridge it and it wont start the pump , hopefully thats good position to brige , icannot change anything in tuneecu, but i need solution for downloading maps, its 05 model walby comp, sagem injectors, no db killer no map sensor, what can i do?
another problem is when i want to reset tps it says voltage too high it reading 2,47v and on full throttle it reads 66 percent, when i start the bike rain comes from fuel in exhaust , consumption is 20 litres per 100km normal driving ??????please this is final thing to run this baby properly?

Hmmm. Do you have it on a battery tender while using TuneECU? It can be really fussy without stable external power.

Not sure what you mean by "I bridge it and it won't start the pump."

One step at a time. It does sound like the ECM is out of tune.

service light do get on, and connection is good cause when i bridge the connector, and put ignition on kill swith on , fuel pump doesnt start, i found thread saying i need to bridge it after i click download a map to ecu on tuneecu? ill try that tommorow, any more sugestions are always welcome, and yes it is on battery tender ,
anothger question map sensor is messy can i put ma0 euro 3 on it ? will it hurt , mine is euro 2
co tester in dead at the moment as soon as i get new sensor i can fine tune it , and also what does it mean voltage too high on tps?
is it possible that tuneecu doesnt allow me any test on bike of any system ?

So if TuneECU is connecting correctly, you will have all diagnostics. If TuneECU is not connecting correctly, you won't have any diagnostics.

I'm not sure what this "bridging the connector" stuff is about. You mean the write plug? The one that doesn't connect to the computer but needs to be short-circuited in order to write to the ECU? If you have that plug in, you can't read anything or change anything.

NO SHORTING PLUG: diagnostics, adjustments, NO WRITING NEW MAPS

SHORTING PLUG: writing new maps, NO DIAGNOSTICS OR ADJUSTMENTS

Does that make sense?

im checking if i got the bridge wright , when i connect two pins on that oval connector under seat and put ignition on fuel pump doesnt work, and tuneecu losses connection,
when i connect regularly i get tuneecu working but cant click any testing part on test screen, and cannot reset tps, but it shows movement of throttle and benelli background, and voltages and stuff, no errors on diag ,

You have two connectors. One of them has four pins. All four pins need to talk to the RS232 port on your computer. The other connector has two pins. Bridging these two pins puts the ECU in write mode.

The process for adjusting the ECU is to connect the 4-pin connector. The 2-pin connector has a blind plug - there is no wire between the pins. It's there to prevent corrosion.

The process for writing the ECU is to connect the 4-pin connector, "upload" to the ECU and follow the on-screen instructions. This will involve powering down the bike, connecting a bridging plug to the 2-pin connector so that the gap is connected (like throwing a safety switch), powering up the bike, and then waiting a while (5-10 min). You will then power down the bike, disconnect the 2-pin connector, power the bike back up again and going back into adjustment.

The bike will not run when the 2-pin write connector is bridged.

ok one thing now is left that confuses me completely, 4pins? when i follow tuneecu instructions, and pretty familiar with it cause i rive aprilias , it sayd only 3 pins is being connected for walbro ecu, on rs232 connections , 2 5 6 on pin connector under seat, and bridge is done on 2 pin connector, what 4th pin am i missing on what connection for rs232 ? ?

OK, no need to connect the two pin until the program tells you when click to send (download) a map.
are you using the RS232 connection directly? or connect a USB-RS232 adapter? if you use an adapter try to install the driver recommended in tuneecu website according to your operating system.
To reset TPS or changes CO values the bridge is not necessary. So the problem must be in the main connector (3-wire) or the usb driver (if you use it)

About the maps, if your bike is euro2 no lambda probe, so you'll have to disable it on the map euro3, but I'm not sure that allows load an euro3 in euro2. euro2 have less data.
Try it, if it is not compatible will not let you load it (when comparing maps for example, does not allow comparison with euro2 Euro3).
But you can load maps euro2 in euro3 bikes, In my TREK Amazonas I have a euro2 map with the lambda probe off.

Hope that helps a bit and sorry for my English.

Regards.

i was out of country for a while , but in the meantime, i did went thru system, and found a problem between ecu and tps wiring , thats why i had mu voltage and tps opening at 40 percent non stop, now thats fixed, map loaded , bike run like crazy, but new problems are popping out, loud clinging noise in neutral, probably starter motor, i saw that on some other thread, and im waiting for co2 sensor to try adjusting fuel levels, cause it is choking when im at lower sea level, and it is too rich in higher areas of country resulting in huge black smoke screen coming out
