Guys, I've been reading about the upgraded injectors through Laurence and wanted to ask if its worth me doing now? I've yet to get out on mine and see how it's running but have read nothing but good things about them.

Cheers.

Come on Strewth get those out if your loft your never going to fit them....Andi will 😉

Was this prompted by my video ........ Its something we used to put up with juggling maps , altering idle speed and then along came injector improvements

It was Angus yeah but after reading about it seems a good idea. I'll give mine a run out soon when the fairing have been painted and see how it performs but will start sticking cash away next pay and get a set ready to fit.

Obviously get them fitted before you get the PC3 mapped! The previous owner fitted to Denso injectors to my RS, but I bought a set of standard ones to see the difference, and once the idle CO2 had been set up correctly (it does change with the new injectors!) there didn't seem to be a huge difference, possibly a bit smoother idle with the Densos.

So, would you say if mine is running ok with oe injectors, not to bother?? Or is it still worth it long term Mike??

I'd say the newer injectors are not essential - just another piece of the jigsaw. Mine was running perfectly well beforehand, but I bought them anyway and I can see the logic behind the spray pattern theory. If money is tight I'd not bother, but you might end up buying them a year later and then want to redo the Dyno tuning so maybe cheaper in the long run to fit them now...?

Thats good advice Dom, No point in dyno time and cash twice. I know the sorted out the cutting out issue with the R160 and allowed the gentleman that owned it before to pull away like a normal person not a hooligan .....!

Cheers mate. I'll give the oe a few runs and if fuelling ok, will leave it. Spent a fortune on it so far and really need to save some pennies for the TT. If it throws up any issues I'll get a set fitted. Laurence will be getting a visit!!!
