For those of you who haven't seen the race..............or heard about the race...............stop reading now...




































How the hell has Rossi got away with it????????????????

I appreciate he was p1ssed off with Marquez, an can understand what and why he rode him out.............think he was basically telling Marquez he was out of order and to back off...BUT...

Can you justify actually barging someone off.........literally?

I think Rossi's mind games finally came undone as I think he was winding Marquez up to try to get him to battle against Lorenzo and so tak points from him and reduce Lorenzo's chances of getting the difference between them down......but it seems he just fired him up the other way instead.................

Still, judge for yourselves..........

That was road rage.
He should have been black flagged.
MotoGP should take away the points Rossi picked up for this round and take away his podium.
But just read a MotoGP tweet: "Race Direction have awarded Rossi three penalty points which will see him start last at the Valencia GP"
Not tough enough in my view.

I'm a Rossi fan but have to admit that was petulant and stupid. May well have cost him the championship - which I see he's already blaming Marquez for...

I'm starting to rather admire the way Pedrosa goes about his business - he's been really quick now he's recovered from his operation and just gets on with his own race.

It's racing, it was always going to happen. Marquez should have known Vale wouldn't **** about. I also don't think they could of kept that pace up for the rest of the race.

With Vale's penalty........ Loris Capirossi was on the reviewing team,and he's got previous form for the same thing!!!

the last race will be unmissable ( but I'm working:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::doh: )

You should pick a side and stick with it.
Marquez thinks hes the second coming.
If you ride a ducati on a track day everyone wants a piece of you.
Riding behind a lorry you have to solve 2 problems: overtaking and then lining up for the corner next. Marquez just overtook the lorry and then had no further preparation, slowing both riders down. He just wanted to be in front of his legend. I didnt see roadrage today but a weak Dorna .

Agostini prefers lorenzo over rossi. There is motive

Think that's over egging it a bit,it's moto GP after all,not strictly come dancing.....:D

Well done Rossi Great Job mate,Marquez is too young and I hope he would learn something but this is second time so far this year so it's not only this race and on top Rossi is fighting for title so why would you do that... Remember Max Biaggi,Sete Gibernau.... they never won the race afther that.Marquez show no respect to Rossi I don't think that's right no wonder they call him DOCTOR !

Like most, i thought Rossi was out of order, deliberately swinging his knee out to knock Marquez (at least)off line. Therefore sadly agreed that some level of sanction was needed against him.

However, i have just seen a thread on facebook by fast bikes magazine which completely changes this perspective. dunno how to give the link but basically it shows very clearly that Marquez rode into rossi's knee, and only then did Rossi react, fending him off by pushing his knee out.
On seeing this i have to say that it Rossi did NOTHING wrong, and it was Marquez who (if anyone) should be sanctioned.

Yes Ian, but......

Marquez only turned into Rossi because Vale rode him to the edge of the track and was showing no intention of turning right himself.
Overhead footage clearly shows this.

Disappointed in him for doing this, BUT....Marquez had been pushing his luck with his tactics throughout his duel with Vale....

Think he was slapping the young pup down for showing a lack of respect and unsporstmanlike attitude.

Would have been interesting if the "Throttle and Brake" telemetry they often show had been displayed for Marquez for the previous 3 or 4 laps had been made public.

yep, VR ran him wide, but Marquez was doing similar antics, six of one etc.
But, from the image seen on Facebook i dont think VR is guilty of knocking him off, which is what he is being sanctioned for.

Several things were clear from the vids I saw (sadly Dorna have had them taken down now).... Rossi was looking for trouble, he was braking on the exit from the corner waiting for Marquez to come alongside. You can see his forks de-compress just as Marquez catches him. Marquez made first contact, head butting Rossi's knee. Rossi then kicked him off. I think it was all a bit girly really, I bet they got their handbags out when they got back to the paddock.

It will taint Rossi's title if he wins and has damaged his reputation, I don't know why he decided to vent himself on Marc Marquez he is not even in the title race. He is lucky his penalty is not more but I think there are a lot of Italians in race control! As for suggestions that Marc should have let him pass because he is in the title race smacks of Formula one team orders. Let the best man win whoever he is !
