Had an interesting issue today whilst riding back home (in the rain *sigh*) with the gear selector arm coming off! Seems that the bolt was not on very tight and worked itself loose.
So much so that I went to change gear and noticed that something wasn't there!! The only thing keeping the arm from falling completely off was the linkage.
I had to safely pull over and get the mini toolbox out from under the seat and, thankfully, find an allen that fit to tighten the holding bolt back on. I got f***ing soaked...

Word of warning is to check the bike has been properly screwed together.

I'll check mine tomorrow & would recommend one of these they keep you totally dry if you buy the oxford overboots aswell

There has been few such "incidents" as per the other owners experiences shared.. The bar ends might get loose as well (someone left one on A1:)) and I think some other bolts too (like the your´s one).. I think even the spark cap came off the spark plug on one bike. Each time there is a story like yours I check the particular component and think over a possible solution 4 future (like replacing the plugs and caps i.e.)

Absolutely.. I have the gear from Alpinestar (which cost me about 2/3 of the Benelli price couple years ago) and their rainsuit keeps you totally dry even in blizzard at 150km/h or higher on a naked bike
I wouldn't want to be doing 150kmph in a blizzard on a naked bike it's already a struggle to hold on a naked bike 100mph + in dry weather :rolling:

Like many people I too have had the insurance issue of its such a new bike that it isn't listed on any of those companies databases. Lexham Insurance was one and getting a quote was easy enough. Tried many, many more and I have never had to deal with so many wild west cowboy operations to gain insurance for anything as I have done in the last 2-3 weeks. I almost was prepared to give it up for a year because it was proving so difficult. I had read on another forum of a specialist outfit called BeMoto Insurance and decided to give it a punt. I wasn't disappointed as the people on the other side of the phone were clued up on bikes and actually took their time on the phone to carefully ask questions and tailored a special quote for the little Benelli. I even opted to pay an additional ÂŁ30 for RAC breakdown and assistance, ÂŁ1500 for helmet and leathers with also ÂŁ20,000 of accident insurance as well. It was a no brainer, legal assistance was in the standard policy too. So thats just my experience and if it could help anyone else then I can at least be pleased that I've done my good deed for the week.
We have just ordered a TNT in black with red frame and have spent all morning on the internet and phone looking for a decent insurance quote. So far, Adrian Flux have been cheapest for us, but I spoke to BeMoto around 30mins ago after spotting the post above. They seem very good at what they do. The advisor googled the bike and compared it with the Honda Grom. He then checked if he could provide a quote based on the Grom, but then change the Make and Model. They are very close to matching Adrian Flux so i have left it with them to see what they can do. It really makes a change to find a company who can tailor quotes to suit and it's not just a case of "computer says noooo"

Apart from the headache of insuring the bike, we are really looking forward to collecting it. My better half hasn't ridden for 4 years (since finding out we were expecting a baby girl) so it's hopefully going to be a good way to start earning No Claims Discount again. I'll be using the bike for work and the occasional rideout too. My usual ride is a Triumph Thruxton R, but I was still impressed with the handling of the little TNT when i took it for a test ride!

I'm just having a read through the owners manual (thanks for the download link) and noticed the bike actually has linked brakes! It's like the bike that keeps on giving :D Applying the rear brake, partially applies the front too. Even my very expensive Triumph doesn't have linked brakes!

Hi, hope you´ll enjoy the bike.. In my opinion it would be better without CBS, as it´s just an extra weight and extra thing, that could go wrong someday... On the other hand, it´s definetely a great help for the beginners, so as my wife is one, and the bike is for her, it´s good as it is.. Strangely the CBS (which in my understanding should be linking front with rear and rear with front), here it only links the rear with the fornt and it´s the middle piston out of the three on the front brake caliper, that pushes the pad to the disc.. The outside ones are on the front brake.. A clever bypass off a fully assisted system :D If you´re a beginner, mostly you´ll use the rear (so you´ll be fine), if you´re a madman, you´ll do with the front and ocassionally just calm the bike with the rear (like me) :D..

I spent a good long while looking at the black and the red frame looked fantastic on that bike. I think with it being a long time since I last rode a bike I probably went with a red model to be as visible as possible as much as anything else. Still though the bike looks great in any colour IMO.

I'd be interested to know which insurance company you went for in the end. I was told about Adrian Flux but I never found the contact details for them to insure a bike. I spoke to someone on the phone with a general number but they knew nothing about it. I would for future reference like to know what the contact details were for bike insurance for Adrian Flux?

Sorry for the delay in replying, I ended up using BeMoto for insurance. They worked out to be almost the same as Adrian Flux but with a lower excess. I rang them both and discussed the bike over the phone. Both Adrian flux and BeMoto took the time to ask questions about the bike in order to get me a quote. Below are the links to their websites, which have a contact number on...

Hello. I'd like to change the rear pinion gear to improve vmax as it is the only downside of this bike.

Did anyone already do the modification ?
Hi, I´m planning to, but not done yet.. One guy on facebook says, that the original set is 15 teeth - 36 teeth, while he´s using 15 - 32 and the speed increase is about 10% (so you should hit the limiter at around 130 on the clock - which will be around 115km/h on GPS) .. However I had to trvael recently dressed in full wet, it was raining and there was a really strong wind agains me and I couldn´t even reach the rev limiter on 4th gear (with std setup) supermaning and I´m only 60kg )))

So that might mean, if U are heavier and have some air resistance ) you might find it difficult to even reach the speeds you were used to before the change.. But I´ll do it anyway, someday )))

Hope it helps! Jakub

Has anyone encountered a snatchy throttle action say in 1st gear going about 7-8 mph? Its almost like an on/off switch. I was just wondering if this was a trait of the bike or if I'm the only one experiencing this?

I´ve read on the FB about some such problems caused by pressure in the fuel tank, they just opened the tank cap to let some air in and it disappered.. Not sure if I remember correctly, as I´ve never had any issue like this..

Hi to All

New TNT 125 owner her from Norwich UK. We went to buy our Son one for his birthday on Christmas Eve and when I sat on it in the shop I decided I needed one in my life too. Mine's white, his is black.
I'm 49 now and not had a bike since I was 17, but really enjoying getting back out there and the TNT 125 is a lot of fun and looks absolutely awesome!
Ours also sound awesome because I had the PipeErx decat conversion done to both before picking them up (still got the CATs).
Believe me the sound the bike makes with this conversion is just on another planet, if the looks doesn't turn heads then sound definately will!
We went to Lexham for insurance if anyone's interested.

Was interested to read about the tool kit under the seat a few pages back, I need to check that but I'm sure I don't have one unless it's under the passengers.
I like the OBD port, can this be plugged in and left, so you can have a scanner permanently plugged in?

Now I'll let you in on a problem, something that happended to me within 48 hours of taking mine out from the shop! This is in no way the retailers fault I want to make that clear.
There have been a batch of these bikes with the wrong nut & bolt in the gear linkage, mine unwound itself and dropped out after 36 miles, allowing the gear pedal to flip up and jam against the engine casing and putting a deep gauge in it. My retialer picked up the bike in thier van, new casing, half threaded bolt and locking nut, brought it back and stood it on my drive within 12 hours! Absolutely awesome service.
Here's a pic of the issue:

Now what I'd like to know is where are all the aftermarket parts?
I'd like new calipers, bungs, bar ends, pegs etc etc you know the drill. I have seen images of such parts from the far east but I'd like to find somewhere in the UK that has nice bits for it. Perhaps a livery kit too..
If anyone has links or recommendations for any add on's I be really pleased to hear.
Thanks people ;)

Welcome Jason and congrats on the new bike (s) .
Hopefully the aftermarket stuff will start appearing before too long, a bit of promotion from the importers would not harm either!
