Got the tank and Air box off and looking at the stepper motor it is not raising at all when the ignition is turned on ... I can hear a sound from it but does not move .... does this mean I need a new one or can you offer a fix solution please ?

UPDATE, stepper working perfectly .... next ill get the plugs out ans see if there is a spark .... fuel line does have a kink / soft spot where it feels different so guess if we have a spark on all 3 then replace the fuel line

Anyone know where I get a new one from ?

Cheers

Yes, plug in end of coil and ground the body of the plug on the cylinder head. Can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition on?

Mike

Yip fuel pump primes and stepper works ... really strange as only last Monday it ran and started like a dream .. since then put back on stands in garage not touched until yesterday when it would not start

Anyone got any ideas how can it run lovely on Monday last week then sit on stands and on Sat nothing ......

Can you hold the stick Coils to push the plug onto the cylinder head to check if sparking ?

If I open the throttle on start should I see the injectors pushing fuel into the throttle bodies ?

Plugs when out where dry as bone ?

Come on please help me ?

This really does sound like a connection issue . How about the crank position sensor connection ?
Although if you've no sparks at any plugs I'd bet it's a fuse or dry connection in the fuse/relay box.
Get some electrical cleaner and give it a try you never know

Hi Andy .
It's located on the clutch side of the engine at the front . Rarely fail but it may be dirty .
I'm assuming the kill switch isn't off ... lol. 😁

LOL, no that works just fine as it wont turn over with it off !!!! thanks ill give everything a good clean tomorrow and report back ..... fingers crossed for a big bang and off we go

Do you have a multimeter or test light? One side of each ignition coil and injector connectors should be at 12v with the ignition switched on, and this supply is controlled via a single relay, which itself is controlled via the tip over switch. If you aren't getting 12v here, then you may have a bad tip switch or relay.

Mike, I could buy one but not really sure how to use or where to put the leads to find out this info ..... do you have to unplug the injector and Coil connectors and then use the meter red end / black end into each at the same time or seperately with the key on ?

Do you have the workshop manual? You can get it from Errol's website and the wiring diagram is toward the rear of the manual.

The coils and injectors have two connections each, a switched battery supply on one side and a connection to the ECU on the other side. The switched battery supply is common to all six connectors and leads back to one of the relays. With the ignition on, and either an injector or coil unplugged you should be able to read ~12v from one side of the connector to ground (e.g. engine block). A test light is even better here as a multimeter can fool you if there is a high resistance connection.
