Do a search on this forum. A lot has been discussed about it and solutions are available.
I have looked at a post from around 2013 and it was talking about a recall and replacement frame under warranty.
I feel it's too late for warranty plus Benelli is not the same company anymore.
I have sent a message to Bennetts hopefully they will have options for me.
I don't mind having it welded though I would like someone who is experienced in this type of repair.

That’s definitely new to me too re engine lug splitting.
agree with Errol A decent welder can sort those out .
I had my frame done maybe a couple of years ago. No issues anymore . I put it down to the frame being overtightened towards the engine without a shim of some sort from new .
A good bonding experience getting the engine out too .
can’t wait to see how you get on

The over tightening is what I was thinking for the engine lug. I would think a decent TIG welder should be able to sort that bit out. Maybe if I find a good weld shop they are able to do both.
Rick when you got your frame done did they weld the extra piece on the rear side of the mount?
I read the replacement frame had this.

I was always planning one winters day to drop the engine and take the frame out to get it powder coated. But not as soon as this :ROFLMAO:.

Hi ,
No I didn’t go for the extra bits welded onto the frame like the updated versions I trusted my friend in his judgment to mig and tig the frame bracket crack back better than new . He did a superb job better than new I’d say .
it’s a shame yours has done the lug too , makes for an interesting fix .
if it helps your head I totally stripped my frame send it to my pal (local to me ) and put the bike back together myself within a week in my garage …oh the memories.. how I laughed !
Now That’s dedication I can tell you .

Pin 1 (top shock mount bolt) is a hard one to sus out it is doable I used lots of release fluid wd40 ect a ratchet spanner and a well placed socket against the frame (the cast part) so when you slowly slackened the nut from the top bolt it had nowhere to go so it actually had to push the pin out held by a good quality Allen key bit as space is a bit of a premium in between the frame .
As for the swing arm / engine mount pivot shaft , that’s an easier one if I’m reading the diagram correct there may be a locking nut one side (gear shift ) I was stumped with mine on the TreK until i Realised it was also a threaded bolt into the frame which was released from the gear shift side after the locking nut was released !.. Again wd40 ect will aid you I’m sure .
Here’s a link a the thread that may help you ..
