I notice that he has bought some 2nd hand Tre parts recently; rear cowl; exhaust, and also some numberplates.... Does that suggest something?

Don't think so; the rear he bought is a 160/60; so wouldn't fit. He is also buying parts for a Bandit, and a Yamaha. There are several number plate purchases listed... of course, you could buy from the local motor factors, but you'd have to take the registration document...:rolling:
