It was a very tough decision not to attend this event after such a great time last year:bawl:

As Ian stated the weather report was the deciding factor:mad:........must be getting sensible in my old age!

Hope all those attending have a great time and look forward to meeting you at an event later in the year...........Silverstone?

Cheers,

Andy

Thats a shame but never mind guys, understandable reasons as it would be a bummer for it to piss down or even snow, might just park bikes up in that case grab a taxi/bus into ft william and watch six day trials and have a right good piss up as the place will be full of bikers and pubs will be rockin win win situation:ele:
Yeah, we considered that as a possibility, too.....;)

I've just checked the met office website and the forecast aint all that bad, a few showers but no definite bad weather, so not all hope lost as yet still gonna pack my waterproofs though) see ya all at Silverstone:D

Bloody hell, it's just dawned on me why everyone is pulling out. I bet they are going to go to Russ's opening doo for the 25% discount service voucher.

Any chance of picking me up one of those when you are there guys?

What a pity but I too can understand ... I guess I would do the same if it was destination Cornwall and a crap forecast.

Still .. I'll be there waiting at the bar in case Angus does turn up to buy us all a beer!

Weather does look as though it might be ok so here is hoping. Might tow the bike up though if it looks horrible on Friday.

Mike

I'm dismayed by the late cancellations!
Truth be forecasts aren't so bad, but more to the point far better than last year's forecasts. In 2009 some may recall John O'Groats in the sunshine.
I appreciate that the Cornish have a long journey, but :(
I'm still going, just rather embarrassed as I'm hotel's contact.

Al as I transferred the single room into your name can u make sure u contact them dude? Unless someone else wants it now and you can transfer it again.

Sorry more peeps are dropping out. I would be there if I could but on top of the original financial reasons now have a funeral on Friday so would have had to drop anyway.

Have a good time anyway those that still make it :D

A Final Apology

I'm truly sorry for my need to miss having enjoyed it so much last year , through the unexpected help and support i have been given another chance to realise my dream so with the complications involved in that have needed to cut short my Scots Do ' - If my proposed ride up by any bike breaks down i'll be the guy with an RAC van outside whilst i have a swift half ! .

The Desire to Attend is very strong just to say " i went i conquered i got knackered " ;)

What was the name of the hotel again Col and I'll give them a call to let them know of the situation.

I've done nothing but talk about this trip for ages with my mates up here and couldn't wait to see more pictures of me hoovering up and having the piss taken outta me posted on this forum, however the college work has hit everyone here (not just me) like a friggin' sledge hammer over the last week and we're all running around like blue arsed flies trying to find enough hours in the day to get the work done. For once in my life I've had to be sensible and realise that my diploma comes before a blast out with you miserable lot ;)

Best go as I have an essay on class stratification to write as well as a textual analysis essay for first thing tomorrow morning. Just been to Tesco and bought 8 cans of redbull to keep me going (although I might just have a cheeky wank first :rolling: )

Al :)

Date: Friday 30th April to Monday 3rd May 2010.

For 2010 the location is: Roybridge, Scotland. On A86 3 miles East from Spean Bridge.

Access to choice of fantastic roads to get there i.e. the A82 to Fort William via Rannoch Moor and Glencoe :ele:
I was over in Glasgow mon night, went to Oban tues morn(worst hangover of the year), and back to Troon to ge the Larne ferry tues eve. That A82 past loch lomand is fantastic..unfortunately I was in a hire car keeping a mate company on a madcap boat buying trip that didnt involve buying a boat.

You Scots have some stunning looking women keeping the place going.

Some class places to dine and get pissed there around Byres road! Did feel a tad old given the student majority though.

Big recommendation for the Belhaven Hotel up around there....2 rooms for practically nothing at 9pm.

Ps: Wont make the scottish get together sorry lads !

I blame you Bob for not giving us long enough to get organised. No wait, Colin was the first to cancel so let's blame him
One thing's for sure, I'm going to Italy 2011, but def not organising a group Italian trip next year. Chances are attendees will be in single figures

Bob don't take it personally it comes with the territory of organising bike trips and everyone appeciates the work u put into it. There will be plenty more ppl involved in organising for Italy and probably 3 times the amount of dropping out. Main thing is the ppl who go have a good time! Roy bridge will sell those rooms in a shot.
Have a good one mate
