'cause I can't be Arsed to google it ! & as I'm playing at being "Smokin' Joe" on a GT750 Kettle at the mo, I wondered what 2-strokes Benelli did ?

anyone know 'cause I don't think you can beat the smell of a good 2-stroke, brings back some fine memories ! ;)

Instead of "aaaah Bisto" it''s a case of "aaaah Castrol R !" :D

now to google to see if they still sell Castrol R ! :ele:

Rob if you ever want a Benelli Two Stroke its got to be a 250C electronica they were very gt250 suzuki looking and quite nice but nowadays quite rare. they were usually in red and had low slung twin exhausts . I used to see one whenever in speedscene of huddersfield .

Going to have a look at one of these. Apparently a mate of my Dad has 'found' one in his garage :excited:

No idea of condition or year but apparently it's badged as a Motobi. Will post pictures when I get to see it. :)

Went to have a look at the bike. Pictures attached below. Cosmetics need a bit of work (photos don't show) but, amazingly, the exhausts are original and appear rust free. Switch gear all intact. Couldn't start or test electrics because 6v battery had died. Engine turns over. Chain guard snapped at bracket but simple weld job. Rims have been cleaned up but have signs of rust. Not registered in this country but am told certificate for registering is held. This is a disc brake model so must be around the 1976 mark.

If I had the time, money and space I'd probably buy it but I already have one project on the go. If anyone is interested, please shout. The guy wants about ÂŁ1k for it.

Lee,
very neat!
it's from the De Tomaso era when he took over both Benelli and Moto Guzzi.
his aim was to make the bikes more Japanese/reliable, and he generally succeeded!
Cheers.

I have a 250c, badged as a "Moto Guzzi" 250 TS.
It runs a sweet as a nut with only10,000 genuine miles.
The electrics however are a nightmare.
Has anyone got a manual or info on where I can get one and where do you acquire spares for these lovely lovely old bikes ?????
Help someone please.
