Until my yummy carbon firbre wheels are with me:D
But ........ I need to specify a rear sprocket size that I want fitted. Now I've mentioned that I would like a 43 on the rear with a pitch of 525, but as this sprocket may be getting machined from scratch are there any other dimentions that I will have to let them know about? I don't think the company who are making the sprocket for me have done anything for Benelli before so I'm at a loss as to what other info they will need.
Any ideas lads :\

Al;)

Re: 22 days and counting .....

Al, if they are a sprocket specialist then they will have a CNC programme for the teeth 525 means ½” x ¼” the only other thing is the centre hole dia, and fixing bolt hole centres. Easiest thing there would be to give them an old sprocket for a pattern, if the holes etc are the same as the TNT I can accurately measure the sprocket I replaced a few weeks ago to give you these dimensions.

Re: Ohhhhh la la

Thanks for your offer of help vtxbrit, it's much appreciated;) I've composed a quick email to the company to ask what they will need from me (if anything) so I'm just waiting on them getting back to me with any details:D I'll get back to you as soon as I hear anything mate.
As for the looks of these rims on the bike JR, I have to say that I'm pretty nervous:\ I've tried to imagain what they will look like, but because I like the colour of the standard rims I'm only hoping that the carbon ones will not detract from the overall look of the bike:(

Re: 22 days and counting .....

I bet they're gonna look awesome!
My poor Tre has been sitting in the garage unused for 6 weeks now, and based on what the doctors tell me I'm not going to be able to ride for at least another 3 months. Shite.

mark :(

Re: Here Here

Thanks mates! At this point I'd be ecstatic to look like Wallace and Gromit, just to be outside rolling around! I know the time will come eventually when I can ride again, but I'm going to miss the entire summer season. I already put the carbon kit on my Tre. If I could get it to my suspension shop I'd be having the forks revalved to give me some proper rebound damping. All in due time, I suppose.

Re: 10 days and counting .....

Ooooh, getting nervous now lads:lol I'll be giving the guys that I ordered the rims from a call on Tuesday to confirm the rear sprocket size and I'll also be ordering my front sprocket tomorrow as well:b
Knowing my luck something's going to go wrong and the dreaded Tornado curse will strike on me once again:lol

Just need to order a new plate for the bike as well. I found this cheeky little site that does plates with the Benelli logo on them too:D

Almost here lads!

Quick update on the ol' carbon fibre wheels situation ......

Delivery is going to be delayed ever so slightly (only by couple of days) so I should have them with me at the end of this week or the very start of next week:D
The company that I ordered them from have the rear wheel with them and at the moment the front wheel is sitting in the oven baking away:lol (I got told that it takes 2 days of cooking for each wheel:eek )
So keep tuned lads and expect to see pics of them shortly:b

On a side note ..... what a hassle it's been trying to get someone to fit tyres to them when they arrive. Every place I've called so far have said that they don't want to touch them>: Well, one guy said that he would fit them on for me as long as I signed a disclaimer saying that if they made a mess of things then I wouldn't hold them responsible:lol
I better start looking at some nice sticky boots to be fitted to these rims for when they arrive:)
