I'm replacing the whole ignition system on my 750 Sei and going electronic. Has anyone had experience with the electronic ignitions on the market?. My coils and wires have also seen better days and I rather replace them. Any thoughts or ideas on which coils I should go with?

Go for the Sachse kit from Benelliparts, it's cheaper than the Moto Witt DMC and a far more recent design. Otherwise there's a more DIY system from a Czech outfit called Ignitech. See also this one for thhe Triumph / BSA triples: http://www.trispark.com.au .

For Coils definately junk the pink ND coils - they are reliable but the spark is weak. In the US you can get the very powerful Dyna coils at a reasonable price. Being a careful chap I always use compatible coils from recent Japanese bikes. You need a dual output coil with a 3 ohm primary impedance. The Tek KP03 (tec?) coils are I think fitted to CBR600s etc. They're exactly the same size but with replaceable HT leads and I've used these with great success. Someone please correct this if I have got it wrong.

Thanks for the info Tornado.

Do you know if the powerful Dyna coils can be used with the Saches electronic ignition?

Hi Shamrock,

what about your Sache kit?. Have you successfully installed it?. Waiting for the promised pics...
I have just bought also a Sache kit, still to mount.
Any information about the process will be appreciated.

Cheers.

Carles.
