Who has experience with after market cans for our bikes?

Anyone have the Quat-D system? Any pics?

I've seen pics of TorontoPimp's Mivv system and it looks very nice.

Ben Green who owned a TNT until recently had a Quad-D pipe. Sounded good but IMHO was a bit on the long side.
http://www.qdexhaust.it/sphera/benelli/tnt-1130 shows pictures info etc
I`ve got a GPR from www.hattech.de also available on ebay sometimes. Available in Titanium, Carbon and good old aluminium. I had to cut down the pipe as IMHO it was too long! (take a look in my album.) but it does come with all the brackets, number plate holder and LED tail light.
Maniac motors do an HPE system and also do a link pipe to remove the exhaust valve http://www.maniacmotors.de/benelli/exclusiv.htm
I believe that Termignoni do a pipe but dont know where to get that from.......someone will:clap:
Mivv do one too http://www.benelliforum.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-1339.html
This is a link to that thread.

Hope that`s of some help.

Thanks for all that great info.

I like the HPE one. Why would you want to have a link pipe that removes the exhaust valve? I thought that valve was supposed to give more midrange.

Well that helps. I can't believe the transition pipe or mid pipe is 730 euros. It costs more than the muffler. It's not even titanium.

sorry, been off radar

the benefit of the Quat-d was price, bloke who kindly bought it brand new before I bought the bike only paid about £250 direct from Italy

Poss a tad long but nicely rounded with a magnesium end cap which unscrewed when you inserted/removed the removable baffle

Good bark to it!

Spareshack.com in conjunction with Daniele moto international are your sources in the UK. They list £232 or £292 for ally/titanium

Check out www.daniele-moto.de

There was a Devil can which the cogniscenti favoured a couple of years back, but I think the number avaialable is growing gradually. I would recommend going for quality/a name you recognise

I run a titanium Devil can sounds fantastic and the bike makes good power, now about power valves…………Yamaha’s xup valve is there for a couple of reasons one alleged reason being helping with power delivery however the main reason is emissions. When you buy an aftermarket can for most Yamaha’s they supply a link pipe to remove the xup valve, so that says it all. now I have had it on very good authority that the valve in the Benelli is purely for TUV noise conformity reasons, (while there is a big round plate in the link pipe noise is muted) the only reason we feel a surge when the valve opens is because while closed the engine has masses of back pressure as soon as it is allowed to open whoosh all of the engines power is unleashed.
So as long as the can you put on is unrestricted, and the power (or not power) valve is wired fully open you will get the best from your Benelli…. Oh… opening up the airbox and fitting a DNA or K&N filter is also important. :)

Another theory is that it is just there to enable the bike to conform to emission regulations
