Anyone have any suggestions on a good grippy modern wet and dry tyre for the amazonas? Live in Ireland so wet, quick warming tyre fairly important?! Never off road so road tyres? (Maybe 160 rear, advisable?)
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance.

I did a session at the Ron Haslam race school last year, and they use the T30 on all their bikes. I was amazed at just how much grip they had in the dry to be honest, really impressed me considering it's a sport touring tyre. Quite tempted to get a set for my Tornado.

I have just fitted Avon Storm 3D X-M to my Tre-K. Not sure if the Amazonas has a 17" front wheel though. These tyres were rated by MCN this summer. The X-M stands for X-tra Mileage, and have side sipes similar to the Michelin Road Pilot 3. The sipes help to disperse water and aid in warming up the tyre more quickly. They are the best that I have so far fitted to my Tre-K, I had Metzlers last time but the Avons have a better feel.

19" front on Amazonas...

Checked out both tyres and neither do a 19" front... Michelin pilot road 3 do a pair with 19" front and always seem well rated.
Appreciate the feedback and will post when I get a few miles done.
Cheers.

I think you will find the Bridgestone does a 19" front in the T30 that fits your bike and a 17" rear as well.
All the sizes are in the link I posted earlier.

Dunlop roadsmart ll AND cat removal!

Update: Tried ordering Michelin pilot road 3's and dealer out of stock but had a good offer on pairs of Dunlop roadsmart ll. Anyone tried these? No chance to get out yet as it's been cold n wet.. Also did cat removal which I saw on here as being recommended, certainly gives it a little more of a roar, can't wait to test!
