DR and everyone else ;) , my axone wont load up as of yesterday, it was working fine, and i turned it off to load up a different module, but now it lights ups for a second when you turn it off, then goes off for a second, then comes back on with a lit screen but its blank?
however if i turn it on with no data card inserted it comes up with writing saying turn off and insert data card?

i charged it overnight, would it be the battery going, and not having enough power to kick the processor into life?
normally it turns on with either the benelli logo or aprilia one no problem?

I have a 6 number passward written on the back, but i dont know what its for? as i have never used it before.

I reckon data card corrupted as well. Try removing the battery and power completly for at least 30 seconds and try again.

axone

Hi make sure the axone is charged, While switched off take out the OBD module from back of axone also take out the memory card on r/h side. Put back both OBD and memory card then switch on this should sort it out. If this doesn't work you need to contact TEXA
Hope this helps

weird

did all that everyone suggested, no luck, both data cards dont load up, after 24 hrs on chage the batteries are quite hot to touch, I'm thinking a battery cell has potentially gone or something, as i cant imagine both cards are corrupted?. I have both cards backed up buy no laptop at the moment with the data card slot, typical :(

on another point

DR do i have to have the axone connected to the bikes battery when ever i do any adjustments? it didnt ask me to when reloading the tornado map, but reading various aprilia axone user guides, they seems to suggest you should always have the axone connected to the bikes battery when ever you plugging into the ecu? i.e. one cable goes to the ecu, and the other plugs into the battery / clip loom?,
The axone cable has 2 plugs going FROM the Axone, which then plugs into 2 plugs on the tornado loom, which then goes into one plug, to plug into the tornado ecu plug.
Confusing isnt it?
:D

....

I have never had it running off of the bikes battery while connected. By the description you are giving, it now sounds like it could be the battery. The battery on my unit has never gotten hot to the touch.

suspect battery i think

got the cards reloaded today, and tried booting up the axone again, wont even stay on anymore, I suspect the batteries carked it, so I'll chase up a rrp from texa and suss out a local battery specialist to make me up a pack. sadly i saw a axone battery pack on ebay a little while ago.

Arh ..italian ownership, first one thing then another, good thing I'm such a laid back bloke :D

Not all Italian bikes. Benelli owners are soooo patient.I would be in the foetal postion crying like a loon if I'd had as many problems as some people on this forum.

what the Hells a BIOS??

heard back from texa Italy.
"Dear Nathan,

unfortunately, the problem you have described is due to a problem on the BIOS of the tool.

The only way to solve the problem is that of sending the tool directly back to us for repair.

Please, be so kind to let me know if you will agree this solution."

could i have this fixed locally/ I've asked texa for a cost plus shipping back and forth, i assume its gonna cost big biccies :-(

Basic input/output system,ie the small program that loads the main programs.
may mean they have to install a new chip ? or just a reflash. I wonder if a bad battery may have corrupted the bios?

BIOS = basic input output system ( i think, from old DOS days)

Cost will be $40 per each way, i suspect, as a package that size.
